What I aim to do, is to provide an excep-,

tionally' simple and inexpensive electric lamp enclosed in a housing which is especial- .y constructed to permit it to be attached to a. conventional form of. paint spray gun without requiring alterations of the stock Darts of the gun.

The lamp attachment is characterized by exceptional simplicity, ,inexpensiveness of manufacture, efficiency in construction, case n attachment and. removal, and durability.

An important factor to be considered in he construction of the novelty is. the arangementof the light or lamp casing along- :ide of the paint conducting barrel of thegun in order to take advantage of the-heat 'adiating' from the light for heating the mint as it passes through the 'barrel to cause t to flow freely. i

I mention this because the attachment, which is generally designated by the reference character- 8, is closely associated with these details. The attachment as is better shown in Fig. 4, comprises a cylinder 9, a light bulb 10 located therein, a socket 11, a switch chain 12, and support and connecting member 13. The latter is provided with'a circular base 14 which is riveted to the closed end of the cylirider.- The oppositeend of the cylinder is provided f with an inturned flange, and the lens 15 is held against this by a removable retaining rim 16.

These details are existing ones on the ordinary gun and I take advantage of-this because the attachment therefore requires no. alterations of the stock parts. It is believed that the construction, and use, and advantages of the invention will be clear to persons familiar with guns of this character. Therefore, a more lengthy description is thought unnecessary.

While the preferred embodiment of the invention has been shown and described,'it is to be understood that minor changes coming within-the field of invention claimed ma be resorted to if desired.
