ln the accompanying drawings,
Fig. l, is a front View embodying my invention;
Fig. 2, a rear view;
Fig. '3, an isoinetrical perspective vien7 upon an enlarged scale of the cross bar, the parts being set up tor the reception of the pin and ribbon;
Fig. 4l, o. similar view with the satety pin in place upon the cross bar;
Fig. 5, a longitudinal section upon an enlarged scale upon plane of line '5i-5 of Fig. l; showing the end projecting teeth bent over and penetrating the ribbon;
Fig. 6, a longitudinal sectional elevation upon plane of line 6 6 of Fig. 2, upon an enlarged scale.
Fig. 7, a section upon plane of line 7-7 Fig. 2. f

projecting teeth, longitudinal ribs, end slots and shouldersbeing stamped out by suitable dies made for the purpose, and corresponding dies being employed for producing a iinished article.
A, represents a cross bar, having thefcentrol flange a., which holds the safety pin l), to the cross bar; the tiat edges ya, p, ot' the k50 safety pin P, engaging and lying between the longitudinal ribs, l), 'foi-ined on either side oi the cross bar A, and the outer ends p, p, engaging the shoulders a2, a2, formed in the longitudinal slots 0:3, a3, for their reception, 55 thereby insuring the pin P, against all lateral or longitudinal movement in either direction,-it being held rinly and positively upon the cross bar A.
The penetrating teethk fr', at, at either vend 60 of the cross bar A are for the purpose of holding the ribbon firmly and positively in place upon the` cross bar as shown in Fig. 5, it being understood that the respective parts have been pressed into position by suitable dies for that purpose.
l/Vhat I claiin as my invention and desire to secure by Letters Patent is,
