In practice, it has been usual to employ linen,

The neckpiece, C, may be of any sultable shape, but preferably folded or fluted upon itself as shown and provided at D with a snap catch to attach it to the apron A, and at E with a snap catch to connect the en two'ends of the neckpiece, C, when in positlon on the wearer. Instead of tape, B, the snap as indicated at F may be used to connect the apron around the neck of the wearer. G indicates a cap or head piece which may be as given any desirable shape, preferably that which will enclose the head of the wearer as indicated at H.

In the inside of the neclrpiece, C, Fig. 2, and at the bottom of the head piece, G, Fig. 7o 4 is an elastic ortion, I, connected to the part 0 or G which serves to secure the part A or the part G closely around the neck or head of the wearer when the clas or tapes are fastened. The material whic I prefer to use consists of crepe paper having one surface J, plain or porous, as is the case with crepe paper, and the other side,K, coated to render it non-porous. In the case of the apron, I prefer that the underside shall be the coated side, and in the case of the head piece, the inner :sideshall be. coated. The coating of one side of the paper may be formed of any well known substance, as for instance, parafiin or a cellulose body, preferg5 ably one that is smooth and impervious when coming in contact With water or the usual fluids or medicinal preparations employed in massaging, dyeing and the like.

Having thus described my invention, I claim:

An apron consisting of paper coated on one side only to render it impervious to moisture and the other side being absorbent, saidapron being provided with means for securing said apron around the neck of the wearer.
