My invention relates to typewriting ma chines, and has for its object to provide a code system which is particularly adapted for use in connection with such machines.

To the above and other'ends. which will hereinafter appear, my invention consists in the features of construction, combinations of devices, and arrangements of parts hereinafter described and particularly pointed out in the claims.

Referring to Figure 2, wherein the key caps or buttons of the standard keyboard are designated as 6, it will be observed that I have provided the keys of all of the code letters with the distinguishing mark or star..
