My invention relates to a wall table structure, and the objects or my invention are: first, to provide a wall table structure whereby a table may be pulled out of the wall to a useable position when desired, or shifted or folded in a verticalposition into a recess in the wall structure when not using the same; seconch'to provide a structure 0t this class whereby the table member, when not in use and shifted to a vertical position, forms a substantial part of the wall in the form of a panel or a coveringfor the recess in the wall, in which the table members are adapted to be positioned; third, to, provide a table structure of this class whereby the table member is held in a horirizontal, useable position or in a vertical, outot-the-way position by its own weight and without the use of latch or other means; :tourth, to provide a structure of this class whereby the table member may be shifted to a horizontal, useable position without the shifting of brackets, latches and the like; fifth, to provide a structure of this class in which the table member is pivotally connected at its sides and intern'iediate its front and rear ends by means of two pairs or". pivotally mounted arms, secured at their one ends within the recess in the wall; sixth, to provide a structure oi this class in which the table member is held in a horizontal or vertical positionagainst stops by its own weight brought about by the pivotal mounting or the table member the ends of the pivot.- ally mounted arms; seventh, to provide as whole a novelly constructed wall table structure, and eighth, to provide rob a structure which is very simple and economical at construction, durable, and which will not readily deteriorate or get out oitorder.

With these and other objects in vi w, as will appear hereinafter, my invention consists of certain novel features of construction, combination and arrangement of parts and portions, as will be hereina ter de scribed in detail and particularly set forth in the appended claims, reference being had to the accompanying drawings and to the characters of reference thereon, which form a part of this application. in which:

The wall on which my table structure is supported'is provided with a recess A, which is surroundedby an enclosure trains or cash1g2 of the same size and shape as the table member 1 adaptedto be positioned therein. Said recess extends upwardly from near the floor line, andinwardly a distance sutiicient to receive the table member 1 and the pinotal supporting arm. The rear portions of the side edges of the table member 1 are cut away at their upper portions, as indicated by 1 in the drawings, to receive the pivotal supporting arms 5, which are pivotally secured at their rear or inner. ends, by means ofscrews 'Z, to the vertical supports elsecured within the casing 2, preferably to the vertical side members thereof. The front or outer ends of the arms 5, are pivotally secured, by means of screws 8, t0 thetable member 1. The side edges of the table member 1 are also cut away a slight distance forwardly from the trout ends of the pivotal supporting arms 5, as indicated by 1 in 1. 2 and t or the drawings, said latter cutaway portion being adapted to accommodate said pivotal supporting arms when the table is shifted to a vertical position, as shown in Fig. 2. The rear or inner ends of the arms 6 are pivotally mounted, by means of screws 7, at the lower ends of the supports 4.

When the table member 1 is unfolded or pulled outwardly from the recess, the rear edge of the same engages a stop member 9, which extends forwardly from the back of the recess and transversely between the side members of the casing 2. When the table member is in said last mentioned position, the pivotal supporting arms 5 rest preferably intermediate their ends against the outer or upper ends of the arms 6. hen the table member 1 is being; folded inwardly,

' the same is raised at its outer end, which raises the arms 5 slightly, until the pivotal connection on the arms 6 on the table member 1 passes the alinement of the pivotal connection of the arms 5 on the table member 1 with the pivotal connection of the arms 6 on the supports 4. The arms 5 are then permitted to be shifted downwardly until the table member 1 engages the stop member 9 intermediate its ends and the stop member 10 provided at' the lower end of the casing 2. The stop member 9 is provided with notches 9 near its ends to permit the upward shifting of the arms 5, as shown in Fig. 3 of the drawings.

When the table member 1 is shifted to a vertical position, there are provided open spaces at the lower ends of the side edges of the table member, by reason of the arms 6 being shiftedinwardly relatively to the table member. To fill said undesirable open spaces I have provided filler members 11 which aresecured to the side members of the casing: 2 at their lower ends. The table member 1, when in a vertical position as stated, serves as a panel in the wall within the frame formed by the casing members 3 around the outside of the casing: 2. The table member .1 is preferably provided with a handle 12 to permit the same to be pulled outwardly from the recessin the wall.

It is obvious from this construction, as illustrated in the drawings and disclosed in the foregoing specification. that there is provided a wall table structure as aimed at and set forth in the objects of the invention, and though I have shown and described a particular construction, combination and arrangement of parts and portions, I do not wish to be limited to this particular construction, combination and arrangement, but desire to include in the scope of my invention the construction, combination and arrangement substantially as set forth in the appended claims.

Having, thus described my inventiomwhat I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is:

1. In a wall table structure, the combination with a wall having a recess at one side thereof, of a table member conforming in size and shape with said recess, pairs of supporting arms at each side of said table member, the one ends of said arms being pivotally mounted within said recess and their other ends being pivotally connected to the opposite side edges of said table member in spaces provided therefor, and filler members supported at the sides of said recess adapted to fill the spaces at the sides of said table member when the same is in a vertical, inwardly shifted position. i

2. In a wall supporting member structure, the combination with a wall having a recess in one side thereof, of a supporting member conforming in shape substantially with the shape of said recess and provided at its sides with longitudinal cutaway portions, a supporting arm pivotally connected at its one end with the side of said supporting member atone of said cutaway portions and pivotally mounted at its opposite end within said recess, another supporting-arm pivotally connected at its one end at the side of said supporting member at another cutaway portion thereof and pivotally connected at its opposite end with a support in said re cess, the pivotal connection of said last mentioned supporting arm with said supporting member being intermediate the pivotal connection of said first mentioned supporting arm with said supporting member and the back side portion thereof and the outer end of said last mentioned supporting member being adapted to engage said first mentioned supporting arm intermediate its ends, and filler members positioned at the sidesof the lower ends of said recess adapted to fill the spaces at the side of said supporting member when the same is in a vertical position.
