Thi s ii lvention relates to supports for electric bells of the type as disclosed in my copending application.
The primary object of the present invention is to provide a supporting means for electric bells that is so designed to support the bell from a single nail, screw, or bolt and one which can be easily and quickly associated therewith.
A further object is to provide a supporting means foran electric bell which has a detachable connection with the base of the bell in'a manner whereby it can be detached withvery little effort if'it is desired to have access to the bell ringing means which is confined within the bell and base thereof.
This invention also consists in certain other features of construction and in the combination and arrangement of the several arts, to be, hereinafter fully described, ilustrated'in the accompanying drawings and specifically pointed out in the appended claims.
In describing my invention in detail, reference will be had to the accompanying drawings wherein like characters denote like 1 or corresponding parts throughout the several views, and in which: 1 I

Figure 6 illustrates a part of the means for securing the plate to the base of the bell. Referring to the drawings in detail the. reference numeral 1 indicates the base of the slightly inclined to provide cam surfaces and are adapted together with the stud 5 to secure the support plate 6 in association with the base and flange 2 thereof, and projecting from the plate at one edge thereof are spaced ears 7 and 8 which receive therebetween the stud 5 when the support plate 6 is associated with the base as shown. The support plate is recessed as at 9 and lO-upon opposite sides with aportion of said plate depressed ins 'wardly from the recesses to provide cam surfaces 11 and 12 as suggested in Figure 5 for cooperation with the cam surfaces of the studs 3 and 4 whereby the plate 6 may be po sitioned for cooperative association with the studs and held within the inner walls of the flange by the engagement of the stud 5 with the ears .7 and 8, the engagement of the cam surfaces of the depressions and studs 3 and 4 respectively and the curved edge of the plate with the flange as will be readily apparent.
Theplate 6 is cut away and curved inwardly as at 13 and 14 to provide a finger engaging projection 15 and the curved portions also'provide a means of access to the binding nuts of the terminals of the bell as shown in Figure 3 without removing the plate.
A key hole shaped slot 16 is formed cen trally in the plate 6 whereby the plate may be associated with a nail, screw, or other similar means in the manner as illustrated in Figure 4 of the drawings.
It is thought from the foregoing description that the advantages and novel features of my invention will be readily apparent.
I desire it to be understood that I may make changes in'the construction and in the combination and arrangement of the several parts, provided thatsuch changes fall within the scope of the appended claims.
What I claim is:
1. The combination with an'electric bell and the base thereof, a flange formed on the, base, studs extending" inwardly from the flange, a plate adapted to be received between the inner edges of the flange and lie in the same plane therewith, ears formed on said plate for association with one of said studs, and depressions also formed on said plates for association with the other of said studs.
