In Patent No. 1,372,316 to lvon there is shown a loom having a transfen y`,r arm movabledownwardly on alternate b ats ot the loom to present a detector to the weitin the shuttle when thelay is in its extreme forward position. ln co-pending patent application Ser. With these and other objects in view which will appear as the description proceeds, our invention-resides in the combination and arrangement ot parts hereinafter described and set forth in the claims.

Referring the drawings it will be seen that we have provided a transierrer arm 10 having au extension 11 which normally lies above the hobbin B when thelatter is in detecting; position on that side oit the loom where the replenishing mechanism is located. Said extension has a heel 12 to engage the rings ot the butt 13 of the bobbin and may have a web 141 to prevent upward movement oi the central portion ot the bobioin during transier. Said extension 11 is provided with a slot 15 defined by parallel vertical walls 1G between which extends a supporting stud 17 yon which is mounted for limited angular movement a detector supporting` lever 18. Said lever 18 has a linger 19 which is normally held against a portion ot the transerier arm by a tension spring 20 connected to a lug 2l of the lever 18 and a screw 22 threaded into the transierrer arm.
A plunger 23 is movable in a cylindrical bore 24e extending longitudinally of the extension i8 and substantially para lel to the bobbin B. ln order to control movement ot the plunger23 there may be provided a latch 28 pivoted at 2) to a lined part ot the transferrer arm and having a hooked end 30 to receive a notch 31 formed in the lett hand end of the plunger 28.
