decorating device which will be simple of structure, economical of manufacture and highly efficient in use.

Another ob 'ect of :the'invention is the provision of a window decorating device of this class having a plurality of drapes or banners which may be'arranged or adjusted to form a frame for ,a decorative article, such as the representation of a cross, some biblical picture or the picture of the deceased. NVhen. used for commercial purposes, of course, the image displayed would be altered accordingly.

Another object of the present invention is the provision of means for illuminating the image displayed.

Other objects will appear hereinafter.

The invention consists in the combination and arrangement of parts, hereinafter described and claimed.

As shown in the'drawings, the preferred form comprises a pair of supporting stand.- ards 9 and 10, provided with supporting tripods 11 and 12, respectively. These supporting standards 9 and 10 are formed tubular and telescoping therein are extension tubes 9 and 10"respectively, mountedupon the upper end of which are electric light sockets 9" and 10" respectively for accommodating respective light bulbs 14: and 15,

Mounted at opposite ends mum tubes 9' and 10 at their upper-ends is a supporting rod 16, upon which is hung a drape 17, said drape being provided 'with a sleeve :for re ceiving the rod 16. Supported on therod 16 are elongated drapes 18 and 19, which form with the drape 30, hanging on the-rod 29, a frame. The rod 29 is inserted in openings 31 formed in the tubes 9: and 10, so that the position of the rod 29 onvthe tubes 9 and 10 may be adjusted. I. It is thus seen that there is an adjustable frame provided in a device of this class.

This adjustment is desirable to accommodate the device for use withv wlndows OZE"V2LT1011S sizes, it being desirable that the'banner' be displayed in a window, so that it maybe observable from the outside, 'Mounted on the rear side of'each ofthe tubes 9, and 10 is a bracket, comprising a horizontally disposed arm 20 and an inclined arm 21: carry-- ing at the outer end a supporting hookj22, in which may be positioned a pipe 23, this pipe extending across the frame. Mounted in suitable sockets,'carried by the pipe 23, are light'bulbs 24, which are connectedby the wire 25 to a suitable source of electrical energy. Hooks 26 are provided for engagplained. The positioning of the lights atthe upper portion of the banner will serve to illuminate the image or design on the banner 28 and the effect of the illumination may be controlled to a large extent by the material ofwhich the drapes are made and the size of the bulbs used, it being desirable, when the device is used for funeral purposes, that the lighting effect he softened.
