This invention relates to flush tanks such as are used .on toiletbowlfs' I and closets and the general object of the invention is to provide [in combination-with the flush tank, a tank for a liquid deodorize-r andfprovide means whereby when't-he outletvalve of the I flush tankisopenechthe outlet valve of the deodorizer tankwill also be opened so as to discharge a certain amount of deodorant into the water passing from the flush tank.
My invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawings wherein Figure 1 is a vertical sectional view through a flush tank constructed in accordance with my invention;
Fig. 2 is a front elevation of the controlling valve, showing the means whereby the controlling valve may be adjusted;
Fig. 3 is a sectional view through the support for the handle 32;
Fig. 4 is a sectional view of the bracket which supports the lever;
Fig. 5 is a sectional view through the outer shell of this bracket.
Fig. 6 is a perspective view of the stop 43.
Referring to these drawings 10 designates a flush tank having a water inlet pipe 11 controlled by a valve 12, in turn controlled by a lever 13 mounted upon the lever 14. A float 15, is mounted upon'the rod 16 which extends up through the lever 13 and is held in adjusted position by means of the two nuts 17.
The flush tank is provided with the outlet pipe 18 which is connected by a pipe section 19 with a pipe 20 leading from a deodorant containing tank 21. In the length of this pipe 20 is provided a valve casing 22 having a valve therein controlled by an arm 23, this arm being held in clamped engagement with the valve by means of the screw 24.
A flush valve 25 may be used to control the flow of water through pipe 18, this valve being mounted upon an overflow pipe 26 which is connected by a bail 26 to the lever 27 mounted upon a supporting bracket 28 and the other end of the lever from the rod 26 is connected by a rod 29 to a slightly angular lever 30 mounted upon a supporting bracket 31. Preferably the overflow pipe 26 extends through the valve plug 25.

Thus, it will be obvious that as the handle 32 is lifted, the outer arm ofthe lever '30.. 'will be raised thus pulling downward on thejrod ,29, thuslifting the flush valve '25 from its seat, permitting the discharge of water from the tank. The coincident openingofthe valve in casing 22 permits a certain amount of deodorant to pass downward through the pipe 20 and mix with the flushing water.
The lever 27 and the levers 30 and 34 are mounted upon brackets, one of which is illustrated in Figure 4.: All of these brackets are alike and, therefore, I will describe the one used in connection with the lever 27 The stem or fulcrum of this lever is con-- 1 stltuted by a bolt 36 which passes through a sleeve 37 This sleeve is formed as part of a conical bracket 38 having a broad flat base 39 which abuts against the wall of the tank. The outer end of this bracket is flanged so as to provide a firm support for the lever 27.-

The float arm 13 is limited in its upward movement by a stop 43 which is slotted so that it may be adjusted, and the lower end of this stop is forked and extends down on each side of arm 13.
The operation of this mechanism will be obvious from what has gone before. When it is desired to flush the bowl the handle 32 is shifted which lifts up on the link 35, opening the deodorizer valve in thecasing 22 and at the same time opening the flush valve 25. The water passes out into the bowl along with a certain amount of deodorizer. In combination with a flush tankprovided at its bottom with a valve controlled outlet, a deodori'zer tank mounted thereon and having a valve controlled pipe connected with the outlet of the flush tank, a lever fulcruined in the flush tank and havin one end operatively. connected With the outlet valve, a rocker lever fulcrumed in the flush tank below the deodorizer tank, means operative- 7 1y connecting said levers together, a handle shaft journaled in the flush tank below the posed parallel with the axis of pivotal movement of the rocker lever, said handle shaft being provided with at ann'angularly disposed arm, an arm carried by the valve in the pipe which connects the deodorizer tank withthe flush tank outlet, and atoggle link having angularly disposed end portions, one end portion being pivotally connected with the arm upon the handle shaft and the other end pivotally;connectedwith the arm upon said valve stem, and one end oftherocker lover being 'pivotally connected with the toggle link substantiallyat the apex of the angle betweenthe end portions thereof.
