.My invention relates more especially, to
the class of; receptacles designed for the purpose of being r'emovably supported in elevated positions, and from which the contents, as water will flow by gravity for various uses, as for bath purposes, and an object of my invention, among others, 1s to provide a device of this class that may be folded 'nto compact form and that, when unfolded and extended, may be secured in an elevated position in a manner to provide a stable structure for receiving liquids, which liquids may ,be readily withdrawn therefron1; and a further object of the invention is to provide device of this class that shall be particularly durable and etlicient for the purposes for which it is designed. One form of receptacle embodying my 111 vention, and in the construction and use of which the objects herein set out, as well as others, may be attained, is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which:

My improved container is preferably com posed of fabric, as a closely woven canvas or duck, that will hold liquids, this being. preferably formed from a single piece of material suitably cut to provide the required shape and that is stitched to. produce a structure having, when viewed from the top or bottom, a curved front 5 and a flat back 6 of substantially uniform area in cross section from top to bottom. The top and bottom edges of this container are hemmed to provide pockets or cases 7 to receive the end frames that are provided to maintain the receptacle in a substantially semi-circular form in cross section when arranged for use.
Each ofthese frames is composed of two pieces, preferably of metal, a front piece 8 and a back piece 9, the former being of semi-circular shape and the latter being RECEPTACLE.

Collapsible struts'13 are pivotally secured to the top and bottomfront pieces near theiropposite ends, these struts, having hinged joints 14: at about their lengthwise centers, which joints areso constructed that they will break in one direction only, preferably toward the front. I
A hole is formed-in the fabric composing the bottom of the container and a stop-cock 16 is secured'in this hole, this stop-cock having ashoulder 17 against which the material of the bottom 15 is securely clamped,
as by a nut 18 secured on the inner threaded end of the stop-cock inside of the container.
In securing the stop-cock, washers are preferably placed against the inner and outer surfaces of the bottom and against said shoulder and nut. This stop-cock is provided with the usual plug and finger-piece 19 as a means for controlling flow of liquid from the container.
The container forming the subject matter of this application is extremely convenient for use for bath or for other purposes in places wheretemporary means for containing water are desired, the receptacle being so formed that it will rest squarely against a flat or other straight surface, thereby pro viding a stable structure that may be secured in an elevated position and from which the contents will flow by gravity. Instances for such uses occur in rural or other localities not supplied with water systems, and the device will also be found very convenient for use in camps and similar places.
In accordance with the provisions of the patent statutes I have described the principles of operation of my invention, together with the device which I now consider to represent the best embodiment thereof; but
I desire to have it understood that the device shown is only illustrativev and that the in vention may be carried out by other means and applied to uses other than those above set out.
I claim 1. A collapsible receptacle composed of flexible material, pockets in the top and bottom edges of the receptacle, each pocket ha ving an opening thereinto, a frame located in each of said pockets, each frame being composed of two members one of which is adapted to be sl1d into the pocket in one direction and the other is adapted to be slid into the bottom and top edges of the receptacle, a
frame located in each of vthe pockets, each frame being composed of two members, each of whlch has a bent and unbent end, and
: means for securing the bent end of each member to the unbent end of member.
3. A collapsible receptacle composed of flexible material formed in a semi-cylindrical shape, with a flat back, pockets formed in the opposite the top and bottom edges of the receptacle,
a frame located in each of said pockets, each frame being composed of two members each of which has a bent and unbent end, means for securing tliebent end of each member to the unbent end of the opposite member, collapsible struts connecting said frames, and means in the bottom of the receptacle for controlling flow of liquid therefrom. A receptacle composed of flexible ma terial' formed in semi-cylindrical shape. with a flat back, a curved and a straight pocket formed in one end edge ofthe receptacle, a frame composed of two members, one of which is adapted to he slid into one pocket and the other into the other pocket. and means for securing the adjacent ends of said members together after being slid within the pockets.-
