lVhile the metal fabric offers a small. de grec of reinforcement, this material is not inten-lcd to greatly reinforce the Wall. The major reinforcement is provided by the heavy reinforcing material, which.E is priniarily designed for this purpose. The primary purpose of the meta-l fabric'istosupport the back latter of self-hardening plastic material. and to enable al bond tobe formed between the two layers 16 and 1.7 toenclose and imbcd the reinforcement 15 therein. 1T or this reason the. metal fabric, may be of a rather Wealr cndable material .for its primary purpose ismerely to support the plastic material until the plastic n xateriall has ysurface on the outside of the Wall.

The above described construction is quitean improvement and distinguishable from construct-ions where. the plastil 1s the plastic mater-iai which work ingu tl metal laths do not form a uniiorni solid layer of plastic niat-erial on the back of the metal fabric. Consequently, the portions of the plastic material on the back of the metal fabric are weak so that the wall constructed has the reinforcement only at the bach of the solid plastic material. Unless the reinforcement is at the center, it will not properly reinforce the self-hardened plastic material. The layer 17 may serve as a scratch coat for the wall or may present the finish-ed in the event that the layer 1T provides merely a scratch coat, a finish coat 18 can be applied. in this way the outer side of the building 1 wall is constructed.
The inner side of the building wall can be constructed in the usual manner after the outside has been completed. This is illustrated in Fig. 4 as consisting of laths i9 over which inside plaster 20 is applied. It will of course be understood that any other construction on the inside can be employed, such as for example metal laths and plaster or the like.
From the above described construction and method of making the same, it will be appreciated that a novel construction and method is provided, utilizing back plastering, that is, applying plaster or equivalent material to the back as well as the front of the metal fabric laver 13 to cause the metal fabric layer and the reinforcement l5 to assinne a position at the center of the plastic material to properly reinforce it and form a rigid, strong and earthquake-proof wall.
It will be understood that various changes may be made in the detail of construction without departing from the s iirit and scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.
`We claim:
l. A wall including studs, a layer of relatively tine metal fabric fastened to the studs, reinforcing means positioned against said layer, a. layer of self-hardening plastic material applied to the bacl: of said layer and worked therethrough, and a second layer of self-hardening plastic material applied to the front of the layer imbedding the reinforcing means therein.
2. A wall including studs, a layer of relatively tine metal fabric fastened to the studs, reinforcing means positioned against said layer, a layer of self-hardening plastic material applied lto the back of said layer and worked therethrough, a second layer of selfhardening plastic material applied to the front of the layer imbedding the reinforcing means therein, and a finish coat applied to said second layer.
3. A wall including studs, a layer of relatively line metal fabric faste-ned to the studs, and a self-hardening plastic material applied to said layer and extending therethrough, said plastic material being of approximately equal thickness upon both sides of said metal fabric, whereby the metal fabric will be positioned substantially at the center of the plastic material, affording some degree of reinforcement.
4. A wall including` studs, a layer of relatively tine metal fabric fastened to the studs, and a. self-hardening plastic material applied to said layer and extending therethrough, said plastic material being of approximately equal thickness upon both sides of said metal fabric, whereby the metal fabric will be positioned substantially at the center of the plastic material, affording some degree of reinforcement, both surfaces of the plastic. material being relatively smooth.
5. A building wall including studs, a layer of relatively fine metal fabric fastened 'to the stads, a relatively heavy metal reinforcement positioned against the outside of the fabric, a self-hardening plastic material applied to the back or inside of the metal fabric and extending therethrough, and a self-hardening plastic material applied to the frontside of the fabric adhering to the first mentioned self-hardening material and iinbedding the metal reinforcement therein, whereby the fabric and reinforcement will be arranged at substantially the center of the plastic material to properly reinforce it.
6. A building wall including studs, a layer of relatively fine metal fabric fastened to the studs, a relatively heavy metal reinforcement positioned against the outside of the fabric, a self-hardening plastic material applied to the back or inside of the metal fabric and extending therethrough, a self-hardening plastic material applied to the front side of the fabric adhering to the rst mentioned self-hardening material and imbedding the metal reinforcement therein, Whereby the fabric and reinforcement will be arranged atsubstantially the center of the plastic material to properly reinforce it, and a finish coat of plastic material applied to the last mentioned plastic mate-rial.
7. The method of constructing building walls which consists of erecting studs, mounting a layer of relatively fine metal fabric against one side of the studs, mounting a layer of relatively heavy reinforcement against the metal fabric, applying a selfhardening plastic material to both sides of the metal fabric, imbedding the fabric and reinforcement therein whereby the fabric and lill) reinforcement will be arranged at substantially the center of the plastic material to reinforce it.

The method of constructing building walls which consists of erectingl studs, mounting a layer of relatively fine metal fabric against one side of the studs, mounting a layer of relatively heavy reinforcement against the metal fabricapplying a selfhardcning plastic material to both sides of the metal fabric` imbedding the fabric and reinforcement therein whereby the fabric and reinforcement will be arranged at substantially the center of the plastic material to reinforce it, mounting laths against the other sides ot' the studs` and applying plaster thereto.
9. The method of constructing building walls which consists of erecting studs, mounting a layer of relatively fine metal fabric against one side of the studs, motiliting a layer of relatively heavy reinforcement against the metal fabric, applying a selfhardening plastic material to both sides of the metal fabric, imbetlding the fabric and reinforcement therein whereby the fabric and i'ciiif iiieiiie11t will be arranged at substantially the center of the plastic material to reinforce it. and applying a finish coat to the outer side of the plastic material.
