BOTTLE CLOSURE.
Applicationjfiled May 5, 1525, Serial No. 28,248, and in Spain March 20, 1925. I
The subjectof the present patent applica tion is a hygienic closure for bottles;
The closures for bottles known and used up to date are very unpractical from the Shygienie point of View, for they are con tinually coming in cont-act with foreign bodies, and they can therefore never be completely hygienic.
The invention which is the subject of the 30 present application overcomes this di'liiculty,
and ofiers to the trade a closure-which can be he t alwa s hV lCIHC for all contact with foreign bodies is avoided. It is also easy to manufacture, simple in form, and durable,
a free space remains which serves for the introduction of the neck of the bottle, and closes it tightly.
The stopper can be made out of any appropriate substance; for example cork, rubher, etc. It must, however, be an elastic substance, so as to allow the upper, part of the stopper to lie-pushed intotheinside of the cover. It is evident from the foregoing description that the stopper when itis'introduced into the neck of the bottle, cannot come in contact with'any foreign bodies.
The cover is spread. over the under end of 40 the stopper, so when the stopper is taken out or put in, the inner part of the same v that is to'say the part which comes in contact with the liquid'or other contents of the bottle is never, under any ci1'cun'1stanees,.in danger of becoming infected, for it cannot come in cont-act with other objects.
The outer part, or cover, maybe made of porcelain, brass, nickel, aluminum, or other equally appropriate material.

In testimony whereof I have signed my" name to this specification;
