SANITARY ADJUSTABLE NLLK STOOL.
Application led July 21,
The present invention relates to an adjustable sanitary milk stool and has for its prime object to provide a stool vhaving means for supporting the milk bucket, thereby eliminating the necessity of holding the bucket between the knees as is the common practice today.
Another very important object of the invention is to provide la milk stool of this nature which embodies means for supporting the milk pail and providing a mechanism whereby the milk pail may be easily and quickly tilted at the proper angle for attaining the greatest efliciency.
Another important object of the invention is to provide a milk stool of this nature which embodies means so that the height thereof may be adjusted as may be desirable for comfort and eiiiciency.
Another very important object of the invention lies in the provision of a device of this nature which is easily portable, being constructed with a handle so that the stool may be carried with the milk pail therein.
Another important object of the invention lies in the provision of a device of this nature having a frame with a seat adjustable thereon.
A still further very important object of the invention is to provide a contrivance of this nature which is exceedingly simple in its construction, inexpensive to manufacture, compact, convenient, reliable, and otherwise well adapted to the purpose for which it is designed.
With the above and numerous other objects in view as will appear as the description proceeds, the invention resides in certain novel features of construction, and in the combination and arrangement of parts as will be hereinafter more fully described and claimed. l
In the drawing Figure 1 is a side elevation of the contrivance, embodying the features of my invention, j
Fig. 2 is a top plan view thereof, and
Fig. 3 is a detail vertical section through the pail supporting device.
Referring t-o the drawing in detail, it will be seen that the frame of this device is formed of four uprights denoted by the numerals 5. One pair of these uprights are disposed at one end while the other pair are disposed at the otherv end. The upper' 1926.y Serial No. 123,960.
ends of the uprights support longitudinal members 6, the ends adjacent one pair of4 uprights being curved as is indicated at 7.
The uprights 5 are braced by cross members 8 and 9. A ring 10 is rotatably mounted as at 11 between the extremities of the curved portions 7 of the rails 6 and has a irl-shaped member 112; depending therefrom. The curved Yends 7 allow this` ring 10 to rock. Extensions 14 are adjustably mounted on the lower ends of the legs being held in different adjusted positions by set screws 15 or in any other suitable manner, whereby the height of the device may be varied as found necessary. A rail 16 extends between the cross members 8 and 9.
A lever 17 is p ivo-tally mounted by means of a bracket 1S on the rail 16 which extends between the cross members 8 and 9 and hasa link 19 pivote-d thereto intermediate its ends at 2O and the other end of the link is pivotally engaged with the lower portion of the U- shaped member 12. The U-shaped member l2 and the ring 10 form a pail supporting structure, the pail being indicated in dotted lines in Fig. 1.
A seat 22 is slidably mounted on theV rails 6, being held at different adjusted positions by a set screw 23. A bail 24 is pivotally engaged by brackets 25 with intermediate portions of the rails 6. It will thus be seen that the entire structure may be easily carried about by bail 24. The seat may be adjusted longitudinally of the Vframe structure so that the operator may be comfortable and may sit at a position to do the best work,
The pail may be' tilted in its supporting structure merely by manipulating the lever 17.
1t is thought that the construction, operan tion, and advantages of this invention will be clearly understood by those skilled in this art without a more detailed description thereof. The present embodiment of the invention has been disclosed in detail merely by way of example, since in actual practice it attains the features of advantage enumerated as desirable in the statement of the invention and the above description.
1t is apparent that changes in the details of construction, and in the combination and arrangement of parts may be resorted without departing from the spirit or scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed, or sacrificing any of its advantages.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new is A contrivance of the class described including` a plurality of legs, rail members,
5 across the tops of the legs7 a ring pivotally mounted between the rail members and having a U-shaped member extending there- FRED ANDERSON.
