My invention relates to garments and has for its object the production of attractive, comfortable night clothes, especially convenient for women and children.
lVith this and other objects in view, it consists of the structures, combinations and arrangements of parts hereinafter described and claimed.

The garment shown in Figs. l, 2 and 3, respectively, is made of the following parts: A leg and seat portion, l, together wit-li one longitudinal front half, 2, of a waist and shoiiilder portion, and one longitudinal half of a seat flap, 3, which three parts are preferably constructed of a single piece; a sec ond trouser leg,` and seat portion, et, the remaining longitudinal one-half, 5, of lthe waist and shoulder portion, and the remaining` one-half, 6, of said flap, which three parts are preferably constructed of `one piece. The trouser legs and seat portions are formed by folding the goods at the outer side and stitching' the edges of the leg poi'- tions along the inner side of the leg. The opposite sides of the garment are stitched together at the crotch and along the inward edges of the seat flap and for a short distance in front, upward from the crotch. The seat and flap portions are preferably lieiiiined at their upper edges. The inward upper corners of the seat portions are supported by suitable suspenders or straps, 7 and S, respectively, the upper ends of which are preferably stitched into the hereinafter described shoulder seam. The lower ends of said straps are engaged by buttons secured to the inward upper corners of said seat poi'- tions. liilien said seat tiap is raised, its upper corners are also secured to said buttons. One opposing' edge of the front of said garment from a point a short distance below the waistline, to the throat is provided with button holes adapted to engage buttons upon the adjacent edge of the other side Ofksaid garment. A back portion, 9, is stitched to said front portion along the upper edge of the shoulder and along the upper and lower edges of the sleeves (if any), and, along the sides to a point approximately at the waist line, and below the waist line is preferably adapted to fall free, in the manner of the skirt of a coat, to cover said flap and depend as low as may be desired. A collar, l0, is preferably stitched to the l acl; and front of said garment, and is prferably provided with ties, l0, Said garment is preferably reinforced at the crotch as at l1, and may be reinforced in any suitable manner at any desired places. A pocket or pockets, as l2, may be provided as desired. The free edges at the waist, ends of the sleeves and legs, skirt of the back portion and of the seat and flap portion are preferably lieinnied. Said suspender straps are preferably pr-ovided near their lower ends with a plurality of button holes whereby their effective length may be adjusted. Said garnient may be iinislied or decorated as may be desired and may be made of any suitable material. 'lhe seams usually required in garments of similar type are reduced in number by my said Ainvention and irritation to the skin therefrom is correspondingly obviated; and a very attractive garment is thus produced.
t is obvious that my said invention may be modified and changed in various particulars within the scope of certain of my claim.
lVhat I claim is:
As a new article of manufacture, a gariiient comprisingl a single piece leg, waist, front shoulder, front half sleeve and half seat portion; a second single piece leg, waist, front shoulder', front half sleeve and half seat portion' .said seat portions being stitched together at the crotch, a part of said seat portion being adapted to turn down to provide a broad opening and to form a` seat flap; a single piece bac-k and rear half sleeve portion stitched at the sides and top to said waist and shoulder' and front'half sleevev portions and having` a loose skirt adapted to approximately cover the seat, and suspenders attached to the shoulders at opposite sides of the neck and adapted at their lower ends to be attached to said flap for supporting the flap portion in raised or closed position, the openings at the sides of said flap being approziiiiately midway between the respectively adjacentouter sides of the leg portions and the middle of the seat portion.
