IIN GAME.

This invention relates to game devices and is particularly directed to a pin game.

Objects of this invention are to provide a novel form of gaine device which may be played indoors and which'approximates a bowling game or ten pin game without VVhowever, the necessity of using the large number of pins heretofore employed.

Further objects of this invention are to provide a novel form of pin game in which two cages are employed with pins therein, and with holes both in the base and in the rear of the cage so that combinations of pins and holes may count in different manners to give a great variety of plays to the game.

Further objects are to provide a very simple and sturdy device which will retainrthe pins and prevent their scattering, which will occupy a relatively small amount of` room and which may be cheaply manufactured.

An embodimentV of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawings inwhich the single'iigure is a perspective view of the device showing the ball approaching.

Referring to the drawings, it `will be seen that the device comprises a cage which is provided with a bottom l equipped with a beveled front marginal portion 2. This base carries triangular end members 3, and a transverse back l. rlie back is provided with an arched aperture 5, through which the ball 6 may pass. Further, the base is provided with two or more sockets or apertures 7 into which the ball may drop.

It is to be noted upon reference to the drawing that the base is provided with a iat top shown four pins are employedY and two sockets 7, although the device` may be varied by providing a different number of pins and a different number of sockets.

In playing the game it is preferable to provide two of these cages, one at each end of the room. Player rolls the ball from his end of the room toward his opponents cage and attempts to knock down the pins without causing his ball to pass through the rear aperture 5. Further, it is intended that the ball, if lodged within one of the apertures 7, is given an additional count.

thereafter rolls out of the cage, this number l of pins counts on the score of the player. If, however, the ball rolls yinto one of the sockets 7, an additional two points is added to the score of the player over and above that corresponding to the number of pins knocked down; thus if the player knocks down two pins and the ball rolls into one of the sockets, his score is el. However, if the ball knocks down some pins and thereafter rolls through the back opening nothing is counted for the score of the player.

I It will be seen, therefore, that a novel form of pin game has been provided so that various combinations may be secured, thus adding to the. interest of the` game, and provid-Y ing for skillful play.

In addition to these point-s, it ,will be noted that the cage prevents scattering of the pins and makes it possible for the game to be played indoors.

Although the invention has been described in considerable detail, such description is intended as illustrative rather than limiting` as the invention may be variously embodied and as the scope of such invention is to be determined as claimed.

It is to be distinctly understood that this game may be played either indoors or out of doors.

I claim:

A pin game device comprising a cage having a botte-m portion provided with. a beveled front marginal edge, said bottom having a plurality of sockets therein and having` a flat upper surface, a plurality of pins adapted for positioning on the Hat surface of said bottom, a pair of end walls secured to said bottom, and a rear wall extending across said bottom and between side walls, said rear wall having an aperture therethrough, whereby a ball may be rolled into said cage to knock down the pins and to either roll outwardly from the cage or pass through the rear 'opening or seat in any of the said sockets.
