This invention comprehends the provision of a bath room fixture adapted to contain and dispense tooth. paste, powder, shaving cream or the like in a more sanitary and con- Venient manner than the present day prac tice or custom, in that the brush does not touch the container when being supplied with a portion of its contents, while the device is always handy and ready for use.

In carrying out the invention I contemplate the use of a container mounted upon a hollow bracket adapted to project from a wall or other support, and in which operates a slight valve for controlling or regulating the quantity of the contents dispensed from the casing.

Another object of the invention resides in providing a brush support carried by said valve, whereby the brush is properly supported directly beneath the container to receive a portion of its contents when the valve is opened, the said support being also utilized as a Valve operating element when the brush is positioned thereon.

The nature and advantages of the invention will be better understood when the following detailed description is read in connection with the accompanying drawing, the invention residing in the construction, combination and arrangement of parts as claimed.

This bottom 17 for the container is provided with a central opening 18 through which the contents of the container are adapted to be dispensed, but which opening is normally closed by a slide valve 20 adapted to be projected from the hollow bracket 13 and normally occupy the position shown in Figure 1. This valve 20 includes a stem 21 which slides within the bracket through spaced collars 22, while encircling said stem and arranged between said collars is a coiled spring 28 which func tions to normally hold the valve in the position shown in Figure 1. The under side of the hollow bracket 13 is provided with a longitudinal slot 24 through which projeots the brush support indicated at 25. This support is in the nature of an L- shaped bracket formed with a reduced threaded extremity 26 for association with the valve 20 in the manner clearly illustrated in Figure 1, the bracket depending from the valve but movable therewith through the slot 24. The opposed ends of this slot cooperate with the brush support to limit the movements of the valve in either direction. Rising from the horizontal branch 27 of the brush support are spaced pins 28 between which the brush 29 is arranged when supported on the bracket 25, the pins preventing lateral movement of the brush on the support 25, and holding it in proper position to receive the contents from the container when the valve is open. This is accomplished by simply pushing on the brush, which moves the valve 20 to its open position through the instrumentality of the brush support 25. The opened position of the valve, and the position occupied by the brush to receive a portion of the contents of the container is clearly illustrated in Figure ,2.
