'It is a well known tact that safety razors lare very ditlicult to clean after use. l/Vlien the razor has been rinsed or washed in water for removing the soap lather 'from the same, it must be veiyrcare'fuly dried in order to prevent the blade and the other parts of the razor from becoming rusty. I The present invention relates to an apparatus for drying safety razors through the use of which the said inconveniences will be avoided. The new apparatus consists principallyot' a device for putting the razor in rapid rotationaroundA the aXis of its shaft or handle. In this manner the water on the razor will be rapidly thrown olii, so that the razor will become dry'in a tow moments, particularly it it was previously rinsed in hot; water, as is usual. 1n practice, the said device'mayube constructed in different ways. For instance, a securingor gripping device for the handle ofthe razor may be provided in a suitable traine, casing or the like, which device is connected through a gearing in tlie'l'rame-or the like with a crank or similar driving member insuch manner that the gripping device andv thus alsothe razor securedin the same may be put in rapid rotation around the longitudinal va-Xis of the handle. The trame or the'lile in which the gearing is provided, may be constructed in suchy mannerV that it forms a portion of the case for the razor, so that said case may serve as a handle for holding the device during the rotation.

Fig. 1 shows an apparatus according to the invention in side view and partly in section, and F ig. 2 shows a cross section of the apparatus. In the embodiment illustrated in Figs. 1 and 2, 1 denotes the casing in which a gearing is provided, which in the embodiment illustrated consists of a worm wheel 2 and a worm 3. To the shaft 4 of the worm wheel 2, which shaft is j ouriialed in the two opposite walls of the casing 1, a CrankA is secured by means of which said Aworm wheel may be rotated.
