Application filed February My present invention relates to milk can dulnpers and the same has for its main ob-V ject the provision ot an improved dumper ofv this class, 'which will be simple in construction, economical in manufacture, and highly eicient in use.
Other objects will appear hereinafter.

"With more particular reference to the .accompanying drawings, wherein I have illustrated the preferretL embodiment of my invention, the reference character is employed to designate as a Whole a rotary can dumper comprising an elongated dumper body having square or approximately square Aends 5 and formed lintermediate said square ends with concaved faces 6, each adapted to serve as a support or rest for a milk can dumper and L the line as during the tilting and inverting of thev can into position tor the discharge ot its Ycon-tents. y i
The dumper body 4 is mounted tor 'tree rotation upon a longitudinally extending' axis 8, the method of rotatably mounting the. dumper body upon the axis Aconsisting preferably, as herein shown, in providing each end 5 with a centrally located bearing 9 adapted to freely rotate upon' the said axis 8. As a means of operatively maintaining the dnmper body on the axis 8 at the position desired, stop-collars 1() are applied to the axis 8 at the .remote extremities'ot the vbearings 9. In'practice, the can to be dumped isslidv upon the table top and onto the' tilt segment 19 whereby the can is automatically tilted into a con# 1 caved tace of the damper body. ThisY projecting member 24 is provided with a central longitudinal slot 26 inV which is slidably fitted a shoe 27 Y having wings 28 which engage over the back of the holding member 24, and having also a lug 29 adapted to engage over the'can bottom. In this construction, the can tilt segment 30, produced as before from thc table top 18, is shortened so as to provide a space for the movement of the can holder 24 during can dumping operations and also so that the lug member 29 may come in direct alignment with the tilt segment 30 to receive the can directly therefrom. clearly illustratedin Figs. 5 and 6 the shoe 27 is adjustably secured to the can holder 24, the means employed for this purpose consisting ofV a plurality of apertures 8l suitably provided in the can holder 24 and shoe wings 28, for the `reception of the screw bolts 32, to which are applied the securing nuts 33 in the usual way.
While I have illustrated and described the preferred form of construction. for carrying my invention into effect, this is capable of variation and modification without `departing from the spirit of the invention. I, therefore, do not wish to be limited to the lprecise details of construction set forth, but
desire to avail myself of such variations and modifications as come within the scope of the appended'claims. j -v Having described myV invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:
l. A milk can dumper including a dumper block body arranged for rotary movement and providedvbetween its ends with a facev roportioned to receive and retain a can to e supported and turned with the dumper body, ,substantially as described.
2. A milk can dumper including a pair of supporting members, a f dumper body, an axis rotatably supporting the dumper body upon and between the supporting members, and atransverse concavity extending inwardly into the dumper body to provide a seat for the repose of the milk can to be dumped, substantially as described.
3. A milk can dumper including an elongated body having .end portions and a plurality of concaved faces intermediate said end portions, said concaved faces affording rests wherein to support a can to be dumped, and a supported central aXis providing for the free rotation of said elon-v i 5. In combination, a milk can supporting surface, a can tilt segment arranged therein, and rotary dumper body arranged in relation to' saidtilt segment and adapted to receive the can when tilted and to 'supporti the can during the dumping operation, substantially as described. y
6. In combination, a milk can supporting surface, a segment inclined downwardly from said surface to constitute a can tilt segment, and a rotary dumper body arranged in relation to said can tilt segment to receive the can when tilted and to support the can duringvthe dumping operation, substantially as described. i
7. In combination, a milk can .supporting surface, a segment inclineddownwardly from C-a.id surface to constitutea can tilt, a segmental guide for the can, and a rotary dumper body arranged in relation to said can tilt and guide to receive the can when tilted and to supportlthe can during the dumping operation, substantially as described.
8. A milk can dumper including a tablev wardly inclined from the top ofthe table to receive and tilt a can, Vand a rotaryr dumper supported upon the table and adjustable in relation to said can tilt, said dumper having a recessed face affording arest for the can when tilted and adapted to hold the canV during the dumping operation, substantially as described. n
