Application filed September 17, 1925, Serial My present invention relates to certain improvements in keys, its main object being to provide a new form of key composed of two or more elements capable of being easily put together, which key can only be used when all its elements are assembled.
The present invention has been clearly shown in the appended drawings by Way oil example, although it is to be clearly understood that it is in no Way limited to the specific form shown and that it may be applied to all kinds and types of keys.
In the said drawings, Figure 1- is a front View of a key according` to my present invention and Figure 2 is an edge View of the same.

Each section of the key according to my present invention may be kept by different persons, so that in order to open or close the corresponding lock, the presence of all these persons will be necessary, which gives a great security and control, particularly in the case of keys for safes or the like.
Having now 'ully described and ascertained the nature of my present invention and in what manner the same is to be carried into practice, Iv declare that What I claim and desire to protect by Letters Patent is:
l. A key, comprising an outer member embodying an open or skeleton head and a longitudinally slotted shank; and an inner member embodying` head and shank portions which iit, respectively, in the opening in the head and the slot in the shank of the outer member; both members lying Wholly in a common plane and having their shanks provided at their free outer ends With Wards.
2. A key, according to claim 1, in which the Ashank of the inner member projects axially beyond the outer end of the slot in the shank of the outer member.
