One object of the invention is to provide an ice creeper which is simple in construction, and which can be conveniently and comfortably worn.
Another object is to provide an ice creep er which includes novel ice gripping means movably mounted, and adjustable into and out of ice engaging position.
Another object is to provide an improved I means for supporting the ice engaging members, whereby said members are adapted for easy movement into and outof ice engaging position.
Another object is to provide amovel locking means which operates to hold the ice engaging members in either lowered or elevated position.
Other objects and advantages will be apparent from the following description when taken in connection 'with the accompanying drawing.
In the drawing:
Figure 1 is a side elevation of an ice creeper made in accordance with the present in` volition, with the ice engaging members in lowered position, broken away.
Figure 2 is a top plan view of the same partly broken away to show the crank shafts.
Figure 3 is an enlarged vertical longitudinal central sectional view on the line 3-3 of Figure 2.
Figure 4 is a vertical transverse sectional view on the line 4-4 of Figure 2, but showing the ice engaging members in raised position.
Referring particularly to the accompany ing drawing 10 and 11 represent the upper and lower sole plates of the device, which are held in spaced relation by t-he connecting posts 12. Apertured plates 18 are secured to and extend between the peripheral edges of the plates 10 and 11, and receive therethrough the shafts 14s. which have the cranks 15 on their ends, said cranks being arranged outwardly of the said plates 13. As will be seen from the drawing, there are two of these shafts la across the front portion of the device, and two across the rear or heel portion, and extending around the toe'portion of the device is a vertical metal plate or strip 16, which Ahas openings in its side portions' receiving the outer ends the cranks 15LK A similar, but shatter Serial No. 60,602.
The lower edges of theni'embers 1G and 17 are formed with the srrations 211, to pres vent slipping en the the An upwardly extending plete 25 is secured to the renr or heel portion of the upper plat-e l0, for embrneing' the heel of the wearer, Asuitable straps '2G being,` Carried by said plete to be seourefl about the weerer`s toot. Similar straps Aare etteehetl to the toe portion ot the rleviee for engagement orer the toe of the ivearers shoe.

lVhet is claimed is:
l. -An iee Creeping shoe Comprising n toot plate having depending hangers, trans ese vshafts supported in kthe hangers and having terminal crank portions, Creeper members disposed Jfor vertical movement with respectI to the foot plete and receiving the sei-il Crank portions therethr ugh, und means operetively Connected with the snifl Crnnli portions tor rocking;l the shafts to reise and lowerthe Creeper members.
2. An iee Creepingshoe Comprising a Jfoot plete having depending hangers at the toe and heel portions, transverse shafts rotatably supported in the hangers and having terminal crank portions, Creeper members vertieally momble with respect to the toe end heel portions ot' seid 'toot plete, and means associated with the crank portions for simultaneously raising' intl lowering seid Creeper members.
3. An iee ereepinO' shoe Comprising a Yloot plete having` depending hangers, transverse shafts supportetL 'n the hangers :incl having; terminal Crank portions, Creeper members 'curved in Conformity with the toe and heel portions ot 'the toot plat e :intl spaced outvurtlly therefrom for rertieel movement with respect thereto, seid Creeper members L seid Crunk portions therethrough, 'em members Carried by the Crenl portions one ot the shafts, links Connected to the eem menibers and to another oi the shafts, aan-.il ineens tor moving' the eem members whereby to produce the rocking ot the shafts :intl the raising and lowering` ei the Creeper members, the connections ot the links with the en 1 memiiiers being 'arranged to more otl center in both directions whereby to meintein the Creeper members in eleveterl po Wiens, et times, enel in'loivererl position, nt times.
