This invention relates to new and useful improvements in loading devices and par-f Figure 1 is a side elevation oi aloading chute made in accordance with the present invention, and 1n set up position.
Figure 2 is a top plan view of the same.-
.Figure 3 is an enlarged fragmentary transverse sectional viewon the line 3-3 ot' 2, showing the manner ot connecting thesides of the chute to the bottom thereof.
Referring particularly to theaccompany-` ing drawing, 1() and 11 represent the sides ot' the chute. Each of the sides includes the Vertical end posts 13 and 14, the former of which is considerably longer than the latter, :is clearly seen-in Figure 1. Connectedr vto the upper andlower portions oit the inner faces of the posts 13 and 1st, and extending in parallel relation therebetween, are the side 15, it being noted that the lower rail 15 is connected tothe post 14 adjacent the lower end while the other end of the rail is connected at some distance from the lower end ot' the post 13, Lwhereby said rails incline downwardlyT toward th'efpost 111. Connected tothe mutually adjacent `tace-s of the pests 18 and 14, ot a side of the chute, in parallel relation to, and below the lower rail 15, is a floor supporting beam 12. Secured rails on the upper face of each of the lower railsk are the upwardly ext-ending vloops 16, to.
which reference will be made `later herein.
f There are'two of these sides koi? they chute, Y
as seen in Figure 2, rand each including the posts 13 and 111, the rails 15, the door supporting beam 12 and the loops 16, said sides being disposed in vertical parallel relation.
A bottom member including the trans verse boards 17 and longitudinal stringers 17, is disposed between these side members, and secured to each side of the said member are the outwardly extending horizontal straps 18, eachy being arranged to pass through a loop 16,. and receive a key or pin 19ky through an opening in the outer end thereoi', such pin or key being disposed 'out- `wardly ot' the side of the chute whereby to maintain the sides and bottom in proper'relation so that ther chutey may be readily placed against aV wagon to permit easy passage ot hogs into the wagon. 1fl/'hen the chuteV is not to be used the keysor pins 19 are removed, thus permitting the easy and quick withdrawal ot' the sides from the bot-- toni, and the convenient storage of the chute.
floor boards carrying the straps 18, together with the stringers 17', constitutes `a unit whichis readily handled when assembling or disassembling the chute.
`What is claimed is:
