Application led 'anuary This invention relates to improvements in oil burners and consists in the novel construction hereinafter described.
An object of the invention is'to provide an oil burner having a combustion chamber arranged to he mounted exteriorly of the heateleinent, in combination with means for atomizing oil delivered from an oil chamber into said combustion chamber, and supplying thereto a current of air to complete combustion.

The opposite end Wall of the casting 10 has an opening therein and mounted in alinement with said opening is a flanfred pipe 13 that serves as an oil delivery pipe and also a support for bearings 14 in which the' pov-fer shaft 15 is mounted. The end of the pipe 13 is closed by a stuffing box 16.

The oil is ,supplied to the oil chamber by forced feed through an oil supply passage 20, there being interposed in the line a. power driven pump 21 for pumping the oil to the oil chamber. The passage 2O enters the pipe 13 'through an opening in the side Wall thereof and is delivered into the oil chamber 10. The oil delivery pipe is equipped with a regulating valve and an oil pressure 'age 23.

In an oil burner, a combustion chamber having a generally cylindrical form, a blower passage connected into one end of the combustion chamber and a burner nozzle at the opposite end thereof, said chamber having an elongated opening through its bottom wall, an oil chamber connected exteriorly of the combustion chamber and extending downwardl.v therefrom, a rotor mounted in the oil chamber eo that the periphery7 thereofI extends through said openingl and into the combustion chamberl` and a drive Shaft for rotating said rotor to cause the same to elevate the liquid from the bottom of the oil chamber into the combustion chamber.

In an oil burner. a combustion chamber having a generally cylindrical form, a blower passage connected into one end ot' the combustion chamber and a burner nozzle at the opposite end thereof, said chamber having an `elongated opening through its bottom wall, an oil chamber connected exteriorly of the combustion chamber and extending' downwa'dly therefrom` a rotor comprising a Series of spaced ribs, the axes of which are parallel with the axis of the combustion chamber, said rotor being mounted in the oil chamber so that the periphery thereof extends through said opening and into the combustion chamber, and a drive shaft for rotating said rotor to cause the same to elevate the liquid from the bottom of the oil chamber into the combustion chamber.

In an oil burner, a combustion chamber having a generally cylindrical form` a blower passage connected into one end of the combustion chamber and a burner nozzle at the opposite end thereof, said chamber having an elongated opening through its bott-om wall, an oil chamber connected exteriorly7 of the combustion chamber and extrding downwardly therefrom.` a rotor comprising a series of spaced ribs the peripheries of which are lnurled and the axes of which are parallel with the axis of the combustion chamber, said rotor being mounted in the oil chamber so that the periphery thereof extends through said opening and into the combustion chamber, and a drive shaft for rotating said rotor to cause the same to elevate the liquid from the bottom of the oil chamber into the combustion chamber.

In an oil burner, the combination with a. cylindrical combustion chamber having a discharge end adapted to be connected into the tire box of a heating element and the opposite end having a connection with a blower passage and said chamber being provided with an elongated opening' in its hottom wall, of an oil chamber rectangular in form connected to the exterior ot' the combustion chamber and extending downwardly therefrom and the. interior of which is en tirely out ot' alinement with the draught passing through the combustion chamber. a rotor revolubly mounted in said oil chamber and extending through the opening in eaid combustion chamber, and a drive :shaft for said rotor.
In an oil burner, the combination with a cylindrical combustion chamber having a discharge end adapted to be connected into the lire box of a heating element and the opposite end having a connection with a blower passage and said chamber being provided with an elongated opening in its bottom wall and said combustion chamber having a series of internal annular grooves that open into said opening in the bottom wall thereof, of an oil chamber rectangular in form connected to the exterior of the combustion chamber and extending downwardly therefrom and the interior of which is entirely out of alinement with the draught passing through the combustion chamber, a rotor revolubly7 mounted in said oil chamber and extending through the opening in said combustion chamber, and a drive shaft for .said rotor.
