By the employment of at single crank and 21- link connection with the intermediate connectin g mechanism to the needle and cestof)? hers, herein. shown, s. very positive motion is at all times obtained for the operation oi said bars in n vertical direction. Another adventeg'e is obtained in the employment of a. link connection as compared with the grooved ca ms, slotted levers, and other devices heretofore used for this purpose, in that this kind of Iinkconnection is not lizthle to become disarrenged by use, and after being once properly adjusted it does not need at skilled operator to run the machine. It also x'eqniresless repairs than other connecting devices heretofore used for this purpose.
Having thus fully described the nature, construction, and operation of my invention, I wish to secure by Letters Patent and claim?- In combination with the drivingshnft a and the crank-pin f, the linlcconnection g and the intermediate connecting mechanism to the rock-shalt c, substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing as myown invention I have nlilxcd my signntnre in presence of two witnesses.
