ANAisTHnrrzER-TANK BRACKET'.
Application medi/rapen 31, 192,5. .seri-arno. 19,643. j
To ZZ whom t may concern.' f
'Beit known' that I, LLOYD' M. Masnifioizn, a citizen of the United States, residing at Olympia, in the county of Thurston land State 'of lvashington, have invented 'certain new and useful Improvement-s in AiisthetiZer-Tank Brackets, of which the following is a specification. i
The present. inventiony relates to an anaesthetiZer-tank bracket and has for its principal object to provide a bracket of this Iiature, which will'be efficient and reliable inV supporting tanks containing ananzesthetic gas used by dentists.
Another important objectv of the invention is to provide a bracket of this' nature, Y
which is supported on wheels, or casters, in order thatv it may bev conveniently moved from place to place. i
A further object of the invention is Vto provide a bracket of this nature, which is 'combination and arrangement of parts as will be hereinafter more' fully described and claimed.
'tion of this sleeve is provided with externaly In lthe drawing:
Figure 1 is an elevation of the brackets embodying thefeatures of my invention, portions being shown in vertical section.
FigureQ is a top plan view thereof, showing the standard in transverse section.-
Figure 3 is a detail perspective view of oneV Referring to the drawing in detail, it will be Vseen that 1v designates generally the supporting structure which includes a plurality of radiating arms 2 having casters at the ends thereof attached thereto in the usual manner. The center of the supporting structure is provided with an internally threaded bore or opening 4, into which is threaded a tubular standard 45, for extending vertically. A leather washer 6 is disposed about `the tubular standard 5, and rests on the supporting structure 1. A' sleeve 7 is disposed aboutthe'standard 5, resting on the leather washer 6, and the upper porthreads. cylindricaliinember r`8 i'sirthreadably engaged on theupper threaded portion of the sleeve?. A leathery washer 9 is disposed between the upper Vedge of the cylindrical member 8 and the tubular vstandard.vr Two pairs of .arms lOradiate frointhe cy- `lindrical member'S', the arms. of each -pair being vertically aligned, extending in parallel spaced relationship.A One pair of arms is diametrically opposed to the other pair of arms. A bolt 11 pierces the ends of the pairs of arms 10 and its headv rests on the upper arm as is clearly illustrated in Figure 1,'
and a pi-'n or like may be passed through the V70l lower end thereof, to prevent the pinY from coiningoutof engagement with the arm.
A pair of jaws 12;are mounted on each pin 11.
Each jawi 12 is provided with an apertured ear 13, whichv is thinner than the jaw, sothat the jaws in eachv pair will swing in the same plane. The jaws are curved as is clearly shown'in Figure 3, and provided intermediate their ends `with slots" 14, having a continuous Vflange 15 formed '30.
thereabout. VThel opening and flange in one jaw of eachjpair is internally threaded, so
Vthat bolts 16 may bel lpassed-through the unthreaded-opening14 and have its threaded portion engaged with the threaded opening` lay of the opposite jaw, so that .by turn-' f ing this bolt, .the jaws may be irmlyclamped about an anaesthetizer tank, such as illustrated at 17. 'Ihere are two pairs of aws l2, on each pin 11, as is indicated'to ad-y vantage in Figure 1 and also in Figure2.y The Vjaws on one sidey of eachv 'pin arey disposed at a lowerv level than the jaws on the other side, as isv evident froman inspection of Figure 1. 'l i 'It i'sthought that thel construction, operation, and particularly the advantages of this invention will now be clearly understood vkand especially appreciated by dentists. The present embodiment` of thek invention, f which I have described in detail,A vhas been clearly disclosedby way of example, and it is apparent that numerous changes in the details of construction, in the sizes, .in the proportions, in the materials, and in the coin-- bination and arrangement of l'parts may be resorted to, without departingk from the spirit or scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed, or sacrificing any of its advantages. Having r thus described my invention, what I claim as new is: i
1. In combination,asupporting structure,
Y a standard rising from the supporting strueture, a sleeve resting on the ksupporting structure and disposed about the standard,`
tliemabout a tank. Y
2. In combination7 a supporting` structure, a standard rising tro-ni tlie supporting sti-ucture, a washerv disposed about.the-standard and resting` on tlie supporting structure, a
sleeve disposedvabout the standard and liaving its lowei1 edge restiiigon tlie waslier, a
oylindei' tliieadably engaged with' the upper uend of the sleeve andv disposed 'about tlie standard, jaws pvotallyl mounted on the cylinder, and means for Clamping the aws about 'a tank.
3. n oombin'ationfa standard, a lsleeve i rotatablyv disposed about the standard,. a oylin'der detaohably connected to one'endV of the sleeve, a pair of arms projecting vfrom thee-Winder in Vertical spaced relation, a pair of. jaws pivoted between the extremities of tlie arms, and means for clamping the jaws about a tank.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature.
, ALLOYD MQMASEMORE.
