To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that JOHN E. STEMPEL, citizen of the United States, residing at Bloo1nington, in the county of Monroe and State of Indiana, has invented certain new and useful Improvements in Basket-Ball Score Cards, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawings.
The invention relates to basket ball score cards, and has for its object to provide a device of this character wherein a complete record of the plays and a summary of the plays of competing teams may be easily and quickly made. Also to form the score card record in a compact form.
A further object is to provide a basket ball score card for competing basket ball teams, the score card being provided for each team with columns indicating the positions of the players, the numbers of the players, the names of the players, the time played for the first and second half, a plurality of numbers for the first half, which may be checked for indicating the number of shots whichtheplayer takes at the basket and the number of times a player assists another player in scoring, a column for the points scored on the first half, a column having'a plurality of numbers indicating the time of the secondhalf, a column in which the points scored in the second half may be placed and a summary.
A further object is to provide a summary adjacent the bottom of the score card, a space for remarks and for substitutes; also for the name of the umpire, the timers, scorers, place and date of the game, time and the referee.
With the above and other objects in view the invention resides in the combination and arrangement of parts as hereinafter set forth, shown in the drawings, described and claimed, it being understood that changes in the precise embodiment of the invention may be made within the scope of what is claimed without departing from the spirit of the invention;

Referring to the drawings, the numeral 1 designates vertically disposed columns which indicate'the various positions of the players 'plays of the various players.

Disposed to the right of the columns 5 are vertical columns 7, in which columns the points scored on the first and second halves of the contending teams may be written. Following the columns 7, and to the right of the columns 7 are columns 8 similar to the columns 5, but utilized for recording the second half, and to the right thereof columns 9 similar to columns 7 are provided in which the points scored on the second half may be recorded. Following to the right of the columns 9 are summary columns 10, in which columns may be recorded a summary of the seen that a complete record of the individual players may be maintained for each of the contending teams. Disposed below the score cards of the individual players are horizontally disposed recording spaces in which the score of the individual teams may be recorded, said spaces being designated by the numeral 11 and terminating in final score spaces 12. Disposed beneath the spaces 11 between the lines 13 are horizontally disposed lines and spaces, in which may be written a further record of the teams as a whole, for instance field attempts, goals and the like, and beneath the lower line 13 are disposed horizontally disposed lines 15, on which may be written the names of substitutes, and on lines 16 any remarks may be written. The bottom of the score is provided with a line for the names of the timers, said line being designated by the numeral 17, a line 18 for the names of the scorers, a line 19 for the name of the umpire and a line 20 for the name of the place of the contest, the date and time and contest and name of the referee.
From the above it will be seen that basket ball score card is provided, which is simple,
