- Be it known that I, BEN CLIFFORD BLACKP- ing at Dallas, in the county of Dallas and State of Texas, have invented certain new and useful Improvements'in Supports for Collapsible Container Tubes, of which the following is a specification. The present invention relates to collaps ble tube holders and more particularly to such holders which provide for,the.dispensing of plastic material therefrom such as tooth paste, shaving cream and'the like.

Whereas in the drawings I disclose this holder asbeing suspended upon a wall or similar vertical support it is of course to be understood that it may rest upon atable or other flat surface.

A collapsmg key is slidably and rotatably mounted within the side walls of the holder and which key is adapted to engage thebottom portion of the tube A whereby upon rotation of this key the tube will be caused -to be collapsed and the plastic material contained therein will be .ejected from the mouth or nozzle end of the tube. By manually turning the handle 2- the tube collaps-' in key will be rotated whereby the desired a ount of paste contained within the tube may be ejected therefrom, but when the reuired amount'of paste has been ejected mm the tube it is most desirable to protect the exposed portions of the paste remainmg in the mouth or ejecting end of the tube. Ordinarily, these collapsible tubes are pro- 'vide'd with caps, closing the ejecting ends of the tubes, but as these caps often become lost, I provide a valve or closure for the ejecting end of the tube, which valve or closure is permanently aflixed to the tube holder. Secured to' and projecting from the lower forward end of the holder is a flat piece of metal 5 to which is. to be attached the tube closure.

1. An attachment for collapsible container tubes for opening and closing the tube, in combination with the tube and support, comprising a resilient arm secured at one end to the under surface of the support and eX- tending longitudinally therefrom and in-. clined slightly upwardly in a direction toward the tube, an angular-1y. bent flange conftinuing from the outer end of the arm, another arm pivoted to the flange for swinging movement transversely of the mouth of tube, and a relatively small plate of a diameter sufficient to close the tube carried by the outer end of the swinging arm and adapted to be yieldingly and removably held against the mouth of the tube substantially as and for the purposes set forth.
