Be it known that I, LOUIS LINGUIST, a citizen of the United-States, Worth, in the county of Tarrant and State of Texas, have invented certain new andv useful Improvements in a Folding Minnow Pail, of whichthe following is a specifica-- tion.

This invention relates to'improvements in minnow pails or buckets. and has for its principal object to provide one which may be readily and easily folded when not in use so as to provide a compactarticle which may be easily carried, and further stored away without occupying much space.

Another important object of the present invention is to provide a folding minnow pail which includes a collapsible outer pail, and a collapsible inner pail which is removably inserted and supported in the outer pail, the outer pail being formed of water proof material so as to hold water while the inner pail is constructed of fine mesh net so that the water in the outer pail will be accessible to the minnows placed in the inner pail.

A further object is to provide a folding minnow pail of the above mentioned character wherein the inner pail may be readily and easily removed so as to permit the use of the outer pail as a water bucket for other purposes, and will be very useful to campers or tourists.

A still further object is to'provide a folding minnow' pail of the above mentioned `character which is simple in construction, inexpensive, strong, and .durable and further well' adapted to the purpose for which it is designed.

Other objects and advantages of the invention will become apparent during the course of the following description taken in connection with the accompanying drawing.

In the drawing, wherein for the purpose of illustration is shown the preferred embodiment of my invention7 the numeral l designates generally the outer pail or bucket, the same comprisingthe substantially rectangular shaped upper and lower` metallic frames 2 and 3 respectively. The

y pail or bucket body 4 is formed preferably of water proof canvas, although any other suitable material may be substituted therefor, and I do not wish to limit myself to the particular kind of material which may be used. The bag or body-4 of the pail is secured to the respective frames in any suitable manner.

For the purpose of holding the bag 4 in its extended position so that the outer pail is set up in position for use, there are provided the links 5` and 6 respectively` the same being hingedlyl connected at their inner ends as at 7.

The upper ends of the links 5 are pivotally connected to the intermediate portions of the opposed sides of the upper frame 2, while the complementary links 6v are pivotally connected at their lower ends to the intermediate portions of the opposed sides o'f the lower frame 3. When the links 5 and 6 are disposed' in the same vertical plane, the outer pail 1 will be maintained in its ex tended position and ready for use as is illustrated in Figures l and 2.

Forming a part of the presentinvention is the inner pail designated generally by the numeral 8. The inner pail comprises the substantially rectangular shaped upper and loweT` metallic frames 9 and 10 respectively, the lower frame 10 being slightly smaller than the upper frame 9, and the latter being also slightly smaller than'the upper frame 2 ofthe outer pail so as to enable the upper frame of the inner p'ail to be disposed within the upper frame of the outer pail as will be hereinafter more fully described. The bag or body 11 of the inner pail is formed of edly secured together along their inner edges as at 14; Each of the platesis provided with the perforations 1.5, which form air openings. Upstanding angular lugs 16 'are associated with the longitudinal free on the respective sides of the upper edges ofv the upper frame of the outer pail so that the inner pail will be removably supported within the upperportion of theouter pail. Thisis more .clearly illustrated -in- Figure 1 ofthe drawing. v

Each of the plates 12 and 143 forming the closure 'for the inner pailfis provided with a stored away in any convenient place with-A knob or handle 18 for facilitating the upward swinging thereof in order to obtain access to the inner pail. A pivoted baill 19 is secured at its free' end to the opposed sides of the upper frame 2 of the outer pail 1, as at 20, and when in its, upright position, proprovides a means for ena ling the minnow bucket to be easily-carried.'

5 With the parts arranged as shown in Figure 1 of the drawing, the outer pail .1 is lled with water, and the latter will also enter the inner pail due to the construction of the bag 11 so'that the minnows placed in the inner pail may be kept alive. By removing the inner pail 8 which is accomplished by lifting the inner pail upwardly out of the outer pail, the latter may be used as a bucket for carrying water. When. ,not in use, the parts comprising my improved minnow bucket may be readily and easily folded to provide a compact package as is shown more clearly in Figure 4 so as to enable the device to be out occupylng'much space.

While l have shown the preferred embodiment of the invention it is to be understood that minor changes in the. size, shape and arrangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit of the invention 4and the scope "of the appended claims.

A folding minnow bucket comprising an outer pail including a collapsible bag of water proof material, upper and lower metallic frames associated therewith, pivotally connected links associated with the upper and lower frames for holding the bags extended, an inner pail comprising a foraminous bag, upper and lower metallic frames associated therewith, the lower frame being smallerthan the upper frame of said inner pail, the upper frame lof the inner pail being smaller than the upper frame of the outer pail so as to be disposed therein, and means for movably vsupportingrthe inner pail in the outer pail.
