Improvements in Adjustable Guides for Staying Machines, of which the following is a description, reference being had to. the accompanying drawing andto the figures of reference marked thereon. i :Tl1e invention relates to new and useful improvements in tape guides and more particularly to tape guides which are as: sociated with an attachment for cutting and directingfa stay strip to a stitching mech: anism.

respectively, in the drawings. The stay strip is fed forward by a feeding finger which is mounted on an arm 7 carried by a shaft 8. Said arm is oscillated by means of a lever 9 which is manually controlled by a spring 10 which moves the lever when released by the operator. The cutter is controlled by this lever 9. These parts of the stay cutting attachment are all similar to those shown and described in the Kershner patent, and have only been illustrated more or less member 11, is carried by an arm 13 which 7.
