PLOW.
Application filed November 10, 1924. Serial No. 748,958.
To all whom t mtl/U concern.' y
Be it known that I, vFREDERICK BncHD- i-rorfr, or" the town of Cassils, in the Province of Alberta, in the Dominion of Canada, a subject of the King of Great Britain and Ireland, whose post-oiiice address is Cassils, Alberta, Canada, have Vinvented certain new and useful Improvements in Plows, of which the following Vis a specification.
My invention relates to improvements in plo-ws, more especially of the multiple furrow variety, in which the tractive force is supplied by steam or internal combustion engines and which has as its object the means tor making individual adjustment to each mould board as well 'as a collective adjustment or master control.
Inv the accompanying drawings illustrating my. device- Fig. l, is a fragmentary plan showing the mould boardsturned atan angle and also shows the means by which this turning is accomplished; l y
Fig. 2, is a perspective view showing the slide bar which moves the mould board levers;
Fig. 3, is a perspective view of one of the adjusting plates which are secured to the slide bar to give individual adjustment;
Fig. 4, is an elevation showing the mould board mounted on the beam, the standard on the 'fr-ame, the vertical adjustment for the beam and the mea-ns Jr`or giving horizontal control.
Similar characters refer to similar parts throughout the several views.
The trame a, is constructed with ties and has standards o, securely mounted thereupon. Through these standards o, mould board beams c, are adjustab-ly mounted, collars Z being provided immediately beneath` the frame supported by nuts e, around the beams 0. On the upper side of the frame coil springs f, are placed which are held in place on the upper side of the frame byl nuts h, the nuts It, also forming supports for lever arms g. These lever arms g, rest upon the nuts h, and are secured upon the upperv ends ofthe beams by lock nuts z', upon their up-y per side, and passing toward the front of *the framing a, engage within slots in plates c. slots Z, formed vtherethrough and are mounted upon a` bar m, the bar being slidably mounted upon a base member n., which base member is securely mounted across the frame a. y f
The bar m, is in the form of an angle and has wide slots 0,v formed throughits vertical face adjacent to which the slotted plates 7c,
are secured. n These wide slots are provided in conjunction with the slotted plates Vlc, to give individual adjustment to the lever arms g. Guides p, are mounted in the base member n, which project through slots r, formed in the base-of the bar m, and upon the bar m, a plate s, is secured which is provided with anV interiorly threaded eye t, a worm screw u, being mounted upon the base member n, which engages within the eye t, to-
