Be it known that I, JOHN P. Dnnsr, a citizen of' the United States, residing at Beatrice, -inthe county of Gage and State of Nebraska, have invented a new and vusev ful Device for Reboring Cylinders, of which the following is a specification.
This invention has referenceto a device especially designedfor use in reboring cylinders, the primary object of the invention being to provide a device of this character wherein 'the grinding elements may bead- ,`justed,\"adapt1ng the device for use 'in `connectionwith cylinders of variousdiameters.
Another object of the'invention is to provide 'a device of this character which will automatically center itself within the cylinder in which thesame is positioned to insure a true and even boring of the cylinder.

Referring to the drawings in detail, the device includes a central supporting section'5 which is supplied with laterally ex.- tending. supporting rods 6 arranged in parallel relation with each other and disposed adjacent to the ends o f the supporting section 5.

to accommodate the boring elements 17 which may be secured in the cut out portion by means such as solder or the like. While I have shown and described means'such as solder, it is to be understood that any suitable securing means may be employed for A securing the boring members withinthe supporting members.

A reboring device including a central supporting section, supporting rods extend ing laterally from the supporting section, boring element supports, said supports having enlarged end portions having openings to accommodate --the supporting rods, ribs having beveled surfaces, secured to the supports, said ribs having openings disposedsubstantially centrally thereof and extending transversely therethrough, a coiled spring extending through the openings of the ribs for connecting the ribs, an adjusting cone movable along the support and adapted to engage the ribs for moving the supports laterally, means for moving the adjusting cone,
and boring members carried by the supports.
