It has been proposed to employ burners of V this type for burning: liquidt fuel and means have been proposed to admit such liquid fuel to the bore of said burner at various points. An injector burner comprising an elongated barrel with a free and unobstructed bore .increasing in cross-'sectional area towards the nose end of the burner, an air injector nozzle arranged co-axially with the bore at the rear end thereof, a pre-heating chamber in the wall of the burner for the main air supply for said injector, fuel feeding means entering the sides ofthe bore towards the rear end thereof and arrangements for supplying additional air tothe bore in advance of the main air supply.`

An injector burner comprising an elongated barrel with a tapering unobstructed bore, an enlargement of the bore at the rear end thereof, an ai-r injector nozzle arranged co-axially with the bore to the rear wall of said enlargement, fuel feeding conduits entering the sides of said enlargement, an air heating chamber in the wall of the burner towards the front end thereof, means to ad-` mit air under pressure to-said chamber and to conduct the heated air from said chamber to the said injector nozzle and means for supplying additional air to the bore of the burner in advance of the main air supply.

An injector burner comprising an elongated barrel with a tapering unobstructed bore, an enlargement of the bore at the rear axially with the bore in the rear wall of said enlargement, fuel conduitsA entering said enlargement, an airV heating chamber in the wall of the burner towards the4 front end thereof, means to admit air under pressure to said chamber and to conduct thexheated `end' thereof, an injector nozzle arranged co- A air from said chamber to the said injector i nozzle, means for supplying additional air under pressure to the bore of the burner, and means for supplying liquid or gaseous fuel to the bore of the burner in advance of the main fuel supply.
