Be it known that. I,- RANDAL E. TALLEY, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Irwin` in the county of Westmoreland and the' State of Pennsylvania have made a new and useful Invention in llectri'Furnaces, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to electric furnaces and more particularly to electric vitreous enameling furnaces such as are used, for example, in .the manufactureof kitchen ware and the like. A
In furnaces of the lettertype the amount of heat lost through the door is many times higher than is the case with furnaces used for ordinary heating purposes due tothe fact' that, in an enamelmg furnace the door must be frequent-ly opened to permit re` product and the placing of afresh charge.- In running more than twenty charges of ware per hour the furnace door must be' opened more than forty times and if as high as thirty charges 25 per hour are, run Vthe door every minute.
