,This invention relates broadly to annealingfurnaces, and more specifically to an ovenl or lehr of Inutile type designed pri-- mai-ily for annealing glassware, ceramic ware and the like.
. The primary object of the invention is to provide'a mntlie oven or lelir having a munie constructed of cast iron which shall possess various marked advantages over ordii'iaryv forms or types of lehrsembodying inutiles' constructed of tiles, blocks and like refractory materials.
Aefurther object is to provide a cast-iron be' operated over long, periods ottime. without warping or buckling of its parts and which eliectually preyents leakage of harmful gases and fumes to' the interior thereof.
With these and other important objects in View, which will hereinafter be pointed out, the intention resides in the features of construction, arrangement of parts and combinations of elements which will here inafterv be fully described, reierence'being had to the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure l is a .longitudinal section of a portion or" a inutile lehr embodying my invention;
