Such portion of the lever is straddled by the two `jaws 23 of a clamp 24 having hooks i5 at their lower ends to lock over the edge of the tub, as clearly shown in Figure 1. A thumb screw 26 threaded through the clamp at the top engages the serrated por* tion of the lever at one point or another according to the size and form of the tub and the characteristics of the faucet and by tightening this thumb screw the lever is depressed to exert an upward pull at its opposite end where its T head 18 engages beneath the arm 15. This arm 15 is adjustably locked to the supply pipe 8 by winged nuts 27 engaging one above and they other below, and it will be seen that by properly adjusting these nuts to give the proper elevation to the arm 15 in connection fui with the application of pressure on the clamp 24 the attachment may be secured to the faucet in a way that draws the seat ll tightly against the faucet nozzle 7. A suitable stop pin or abutment 28 is provided on the end of the lever 19 to prevent the clamp 24 from slipping off the end thereof.

At the upper end of the supply pipe 8 is a T 29 into the laterals of which are threaded the nipples 30 of a. p-air of roses 31 and 32 having perforated heads 33 directed toward the interior of the tub. These roses may be rotatably adjusted on the threads to give them the inclined position of Figure l or the straight vertical positions of Figure 3, rather heavy compressible washers 34 being provided on the nipples to permit this slight loosening or tightening witho-ut leakage or binding. `The nipple of the rose 32 is fitted with a valve 35 under the control of a hane dle 86 whereby this rose may be closed against water from the supply pipe and the other rose 3l used alone, or both may be used together as desired.

It will be noted that the inlet for each rose is lateral and horizontal in a direction parallel with the perforated head 33 instead of being from the rear directly against the head as is usual. The water entering in this Way travels diametrically across the rose until it strikes the opposite wall, indicated at A in Figure 4. It is deflected by this wall as shown by the arrows B back against the head 83 at an acute angle and toward the medium line of l the tub. The result is that as the needle streams indicated by the arrow C in Figure 4 emerge from the head they also have an inward tendency so that they incline away from the sides of the tub and toward the center thereof. IVith both roses in use the sprays therefrom therefore converge though they do not cross but in each case the eX- treme lateral streams are so disposed that they are not apt to miss the interior of the tub and fall upon the floor outside. It will also be noted that these lateral streams C indicated at a? in Figure 4 have greater convergence than the inner streams indicated at i/ due to a reduction in the inertia of the deflected stream as it passes across the head 33. This is as it should be inasmuch as the moreV central streams should pass directly toward the person occupying the tub.

I claim as my invention:

l. In a bath spray, the combination with a rose and a supply pipe connected thereto, of a faucet connection on the supply pipe comprising a lateral provided with a. seat for the faucet, an arm above the seat, a lever engaging the arm and adapted to rest upon the rim of a bath tub as a fulcrum, and a clamp on the lever on the opposite side of the fulcrum adapted to engage beneath the rim of the tub and raise the sea-t against the faucet.

2. In a bath spray, the combination with a rose and a supply pipe connected thereto having a threaded portion, of a faucet connection on the supply pipe comprising a lateral provided with a seat for the faucet, an arm slidable on the supply pipe above the seat, a pair of nuts on the threaded portion of the supply pipe arranged on opposite sides of the arm to adjust the latter and hold it in position, a lever engaging the arm and adapted to rest upon the rim of a bath tub as a fulcrum, and a clamp on the lever on the opposite side of the fulcrum adapted to engage beneath the rim of the tub and raise the seat against the faucet.

3. In a bath spray, the combination with a rose and asupply pipe connected thereto, of a faucet connection on the supply pipe comprising a lateral provided with a sealy for the faucet, an arm above the seat. a Y

lever enga-ging the arm and adapted to rest upon the rim' of al bath tub as a fulcrum, and a clamp adjustably mounted on the lever or the Opposite side of the fulcrum adapted to engage beneath the rim of thetub and raise the seat against the faucet, the lever being serrated to maintain the clamp thereon at a selected po-int.
