Be it known that I, Domani, T. MoKrN,

NoN, ya citizenof the United States, .residing at Norfolk, in the county Soi MadisomState of Nebraska,fhave'invented la new and useful Game; and I do hereby declare the lfollowing to be a fulvl-fclear, and exact description of the invention, ysuch as will ena-ble others skilled in the art to which it apporta-histo make and use the same.

The invention relates `to ygames,-and has for its object to provide a game board having oppositely disposed round compartments in communication with each other, and in which compartments revoluble arms are mounted for engaging a ball disposed in a depression intermediate the compartments, said arms being controlled by opposing players designated as tackles. Disposed at opposite sides of the compartments and in communication therewith are semi-circular shaped compartments in which revoluble arms are mounted, and are adapted to be operated by the guards. The object of thev guards is to prevent the ball from being knocked into the counting pockets adjacent the guards, and to project the ball past the opponent guard into the pockets Jfor scormg.

A further object is to provide spaced lugs Where the compartments join together, which lugs deflect the ball when a ball engages the same, and also form means whereby when the guards are revolved, the question as to which side shall start the play may be determined by the relation of the guard arm to the lugs.

l/Vith-the above and other objects in view the invention resides in the combination and arrangement of parts as hereinafter set forth, shown in the drawing, described and claimed, it being understood that changes in the precise embodiment of the invention may be made within the scope of what is claimed without departing from the spirit of the invention.

During the playing of the game, it is the object of the strikers or tackles in the compartments 7 to drive the ball 6 past the guard members l1 of their respective opponents into the counting pockets 5. However the guards are revolved by opposing players with their arms 12 in such a manner that their arms l2 will not only block the entrance of the ball into adjacent counting pockets 5, but will drive the ball towards the opposing guard 1l, past thev arms 9 of the tackle, with the object of driving the ballinto the pockets at the opposite ends of the board.

VVhenit is desired to start the game, the guards 1l are revolved by the respective players and the players side obtains the first play, whosey guard arm l2 stops nearest Assuming the yellow side has obtained the first play, the ball 6 is placed in the depression 14 between the compartment 7, then the arms 9 are rotated by the tackle on the yellow side, and the ball 6 is projected into the vcompartment 7 and the arms 9 on the red sideof the board are revolved by the tackle with the object ot' Cil projecting the ball 6 towards the pockets of the yellow side past the guard adjacent said pocket. However said guard is revolved during this operation with the object of not only preventing the ball from entering` the pocket but of projecting the ball into the pockets 5 at the opposite red end of the game board past the adjacent guard. The score may be any amount desired, and the value of the pockets may vary as desired. The lugs 13 are preferably triangular shaped as shown and having apex ends extending towards each other, thereby forming angularly disposed deflecting sides l5 for detlecting the ball and increasing the dithculty ing ball into the pockets.

From the above it Will be seen that a. game is provided which is amusing and Will require considerable skill to play, and to add attractiveness to the game the parts are preferably designated as tackles and guards, similar to a foot ball game.

The invention having been set forth what is claimed as new and useful is:-

A game comprising board, rotatable blades pivotally mounted on said board and centrally pivoted, means for supporting,` a ball on said board between said blades and in the path of the ends or' said blades, triangular shaped deflecting lugs carried by the board adjacent the ball supporting means and out of the path of the ends o'f the paddles, arcuately shaped Walls, disposed to the outside of the paddles and adjacent which the ends of the paddles move, rotatable paddles disposed on the board to the outer end of the deflecting lug, and arcuate shaped Walls ad jacent the ends of said last named paddles.
