JAMES S. IARRS AND ROBERT E. MORRIS, OF ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI- I LEATHER-SURFACE-REPAIR COMPOSITION.

To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, JAMES S. Mamas and ROBERT M. Mourns, citizens of the United States, residin in' the city of St. Louis 5 and State of hssouri, have invented-a new and useful Leather-Surface-Repair Composition, of which the following is a specifi- 20 carnauba wax, refined beeswax, shellac wax,
ceresine wax, d shellac, tur entine and a color base ma e up of art er pigment,
chrome and earthy colors such as dry colors or pigments, lamp black or carbon black.
In preparing the composition, we refer to use the ingredients in approximate y the following proportions, namely One ounce of carnauba-wax, one ounce refined beeswax, one ounce shellac-wax, one ounce Venice liquid turpentine, one ounce dry shellac and a color base sufiicient to suitably color the composition Good results may be obtained, however, when Burgundy pitch, gum thus, or terebinthina are 86 substituted for the liquid turpentine.
The ceresine wax is used without the carnauba wax when acheaper product is' desired.
The above ingredients are thoroughly 4 mixed together in a heated state in a suitable vessel to the roper consistency. The color base is added after the other Ingredients have been thoroughly agitated or'mixed' to give blended color to the repair eompgzition. What we claim is:
1. A leather surface repair composition, comprising substantially one ounce carnauba wax, one ounce beeswax, one ounce shellac wax, one ounce d shellac, one ounce turpentine and a color ase.

3. A leather surfacerepair composition, comprising one ounce of carnauba wax, one ounce refined beeswax, one ounce Venice turpentine, one ounce shellac and a color base.
