Be it known thatI, LAURENT A. Fao- BERGER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Lynn, in the county of Essex, State of Massachusetts,have inventedcertam new 7 and useful Im rovements in Controller Finers, of whic the following is a specication.
My invention relates to contact fingers for electric circuitcontrollers and has for its object the provision of an improved device of this character which will be of a rugged construction and at the same time sim 1e and cheap tomanufacture. Devices of t is character, coinmonly known as controller fingers, are liable to be subjected to hard usage and the construction must, therefore, be of the most'rugged character. As often constructed a contact button of copper is riveted at its center to a contact spring. This construction doesnot, however, prevent the button from getting loose and turnin on its riveted center. One of the objects of my invention is to produce an arrangement in *which such turning will be prevented even thou h the. button should become loose, and whic is constructed of punchings which may be easily assembled.
Other objects and purposes of my invention will appear in the course of the following description in which I have disclosed my invention in one form for purposes of illustration.
In the accompanying drawings illustrating my invention, Fig.1 is a perspective view of an assembled controller finger embodying my invention; and Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the separated parts.

spring strip 12 is placed on the contact but-- g shunt. The earsv 11 are then bent over the washer and pressed down hard onto the washer as shown in Fig. 1. Since the cars 11 enter the notches in the three parts, the button is positively revented from turning, even though the utton should become slightly loosened. A very firm contact having a liberal contact area is likewise made between the button and the other parts. The assembling of the parts of the contact finger is a ve simple operation with no opportunity- 0 dis lacement. The sheet metal parts may all e punchings and hence may be produced with exact uniformity at a low cost. The parts when assembled are practically a unit.
While I have described my invention as embodied in concrete form and as operating in a specific manner in accordance with from the spirit of my invention the scope of which is set forth in the annexed claims.
What I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is
1. A controller finger comprising an elongated spring member having a notched end and a contact button provided with ears which enter'the notches and are bent over the sp g andpressed down so as to firmly grip the spring member between the bent over pdbrtion of the ears and the main body of the utton.
