IMPROVEMENT IN SNAP-HOCKS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 149,755. dattd April 14, 1874; application filed August 13, 1873.

as will be hereinafter more fully set forth.
In order to enable others skilled in the art to which my invention appertains to make and use the same I will now proceed to describe its construction and operation, referring to the annexed drawing, which represents a perspective View, showing two of my snap-hooks fastened to a ring.
My snap-hook is made of a piece, A, of tempered steel, brass, or any other suitable spring metal, bent in substantially the form shown in the drawing, or in any other suitable form that will answer the same purpose. One end of the metal piece A is provided with a slot, a,

Having thus fully described my invention what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The within-described snap-hook, consisting of the metal piece A, having slot at at one end, and hook b at the other end, the hook passing through the slot, and the strain sustained by the loop of the hook, its endvresting against the lower end of the slot, as herein set forth.
