COMBINATION COIN PURSE AND POWDER PUFF.
Application filed December 16, 1922.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, THEODORE W. SOHRAMM, a citizen of the United States of America, and a resident of Bay City, in the county of Bay and State of Michigan, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Combination Coin Purses and Powder Pufl's, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to an improved combination toilet article and coin purse.
One object of the invention is to providea flexible powder puff having a coin receptacle or pocket formed therein, and which is provided with means for locking the said pocket to prevent the displacement of the coins.
Another object is to provide a flexible owder pufi having a second pocket in whic the powder supply can be carried, this powder supply being in the form of a compact cake.
A further object is to design a novel flexible toilet article having the coin andpowder containing pockets formed therein, which can be concealed in the front of the ladies waist or garment, relieving the lady of the necessity of carrying a purse and vanity box, and eliminating the possibility of smearing and soiling the wearing apparel of the lady.
The above and other Objects will appear as the specification progresses, reference being had to the accompanying drawings in which like reference numerals indicate like parts throughout the several views thereof.
In the drawing Fig. 1 is an edge view of my improved toilet article illustrating the coin pocket in open position.
Fig. 2 is a top plan view thereof.
Fig. 3 is also an edge view similar to Fig. 1 but illustrating the closing means for the powder containing pocket.
Fig. 4 is a view illustrating the puff folded for carrying in the front of the waist or garment.
Fig. 5 is an edge view of a receptacle or holder having a powder compact therein, and
Fig. 6 is a bottom view illustrating the small mirror in. the bottom thereof.
It is at present customary for a lady to carry either a powder puff or a vanity case when on the street or visiting, when pro- Serial No. (SO'ZAEB.

small change handkerchief, To eliminate the necessity of the personcarrying either a vanity case or purse I have provided a combination powder puff and coin purse which can be folded and placed in the front of the waist Or garment as is customaryat present,
and without discomfort to the wearer.
In the drawing it will be noted that the powder puff 5 comprises two pieces of fluffy material placed back to back and sewed togethed at their marginal edges they are also further stitched or sewed to provide a pair of pockets 6 and ,7 between them, the opening for the pocket 6 being pr pair of metal members 8 sewe ovided with a d to the edges of the pufi, these are hingedly connected at the point 9 and are designed to lock together when closed as shown in Fig.

and are resili- The powder pocket 7, is formed on the opposite edge of the pufi, and adapted to be closed by means tional snap button attachment der is preferably put up in a this pocket is of the conven- 10. The powcompact cake 11, and is glued or otherwise secured in a small metal holder or container 12 so that when the cake is exhausted a f resh cake may be inserted. A mirror 13 is secured in the back of thecontainer 12, so that when desiring to apply the powder, the
person merely opens the pocket 7 and removes the holder 12 and applies the powder to the face of the pufi, the mirror is then a very convenient article to see that the powder is evenly apbox if desired, but I find the compact cake to be more desirable as it does not spill and as well as refilled.

y of carrying we I What I claim is 1. A combination toilet article and coin purse comprising a flexible puflif' having pockets forr'ned therein, one of said pockets 5 being provided with hinged metal edges adapted to be locked; together;
2. A combination toilet article and coin purse comprising a flexible puff having a coin pocket and a powder pocket respectively, formed therein, a hinged metal mouth on the coin pocket and snap fasteners for locking the powder pocket.
In testimonywhereofl affix my signature.
