My improvements relate to, the manufac- 'ture of boxes out of card-board, so called, covering the various grades thereof as known to the trade, or out of any analogous fibrous board material 5 and particularly to the making of rectangular boxes out of onepiece body blanks, the upsettingor folding appearance, and also ehdanger the integrity of the portions of the wrap spanning and covering these corner grooves, which ob viously afford no support for the overlapping portion of the wrap.

The .main object is to obviate this difiiculty, in so far at least as the ends of the boxare concerned, and to-afiord a flush rec- H tangular finish thereto, of the-=full .width of the box, whereby the bevel-edge effect is eliminated; a true rectangular corner effect is produced; andthe wrap is supported against extraneous pressure;and whereby, also, If-

simplify and cheapen the cost of production,

' and reinforce and strengthen the box structure' in a unitary sense, all as hereinafter more fully set forth. To-this end theinvention consists in the specific construction and arrangement of arts described and claimed, adistinctive eature being the use of auxiliary end plates, of full box width and-height, which overla the end edge grooves incidental to the fo ding or setting up of the body blank, as herein shown and described.
