Be it known that 1, Isaac Lninowrrz, a citizen of the United States, residing at Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New 1 ork, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Calendars; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact descri )tion of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompany ing drawings, and to characters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
This invention relates, generally. to improvements in calendars, and the invention 1 has for its principal object to provide'a novel construction of calendar having a pad of rotatable leaves carryingthe calendar data in 'adial panels, said pad being mounted for rotation relative to a fixed indicating or pointer member whereby a desired panel may be registered with said indicating or pointer member to indicate a given day of the month.
The invention has for a further obect to provide a novel construction of calendar pad having a central hub portion to which the leaves are detachably connected, said leaves being perforated in a novel manner to permit of the tearing away of the calendar leaf containing data for a transpired month.-
Another object of this invention is to provide in connection with the fixed indicating 'or pointer member a clock dial having movable hands to render the same serviceable as an appointment clock.
Other objects of this invention, not at this time more particularly enumerated,'will be clearly understood from the following detailed description of the same,

Similar characters of reference are employed in all of the above-described views,
to indicate corresponding parts.
Referring now to said drawings, the reference character 1 indicates a base or back member upon which the novel calendar pad and indicating or pointermeans therefor are mounted. The reference character 2 in-' dicates the body of the indicating or pointer means, which is made in the shape of a pointer or hand, and which is provided with a plurality of openings 3, 4 and 5 with which the date panels, statement panels, and day panels of the calendar leaves may be re spectively registered so as to be readable through said openings. The inner end of said hand isaformed by a disc-like base element or member 6, to which is secured a rearwardly extending spindle element 7, preferably made in tubular form, and provided attits rear end with a plurality of clenching prongsS. Said spindle element 7 is preferably made of metal, and the inclic ator or pointer element and its base may be made of sheet metal, card-board, fibre or any other comparatively rigid material. In assembling said indicator or pointer element with thebase or back member 1, the prongs 8 of the spindle element 7 are pierced through the body of the base or back member 1, so'as to project rearwardly therefrom, said rearwardly projecting portions then being turned down and clenched into the body of-sa'id base or back member, thus rigidly a nd n0n-rotatably fixing the indicator or pointer element in outwardly spaced relation to the base or back member, with the main body of the spindle extending between the latter and the base element 6.
The calendar pad comprises twelve circular sheetsor leaves-'9, one for each month of the-year; Thefacc of each sheet is divided into a plurality of radlal panels, one of which is subdivided to provide a year sub-division 10'. a month subdivision 11, and

The central portions of thesheets-or leaves 9 are glued together in inseparable relation, to thus provide a central hub portion 16, which is provided with a central perforation or opening 17. A circular line of perforations 18 divide the free outer portions of the calendar sheets or leaves from the intercminected or fixed together central portions thereof which together form the hub portion 16 of the pad; and each sheet or leaf i provided with lines of perforations 19 through the body of the free portions thereof, which lines of perforations are preferably extended diametrically outward to the free circumference of eachsheet or .leaf.
I prefer to glue or otherwise secure the pad of calendar sheets, constructed .asabove described, by the hub portion thereof,'to a rotatable carrier disc 20,.preferably made of ard-board, and possessing .a diameter somewhatllargerthanthe width of the base or back member 1, so that the marginal portions of said carrier disc 20 project outside of or beyond the side edges ofrsai'd base or back member 1.
The calendar pad and its carrier disc are mounted on said spindle element 7, so as to be disposed.betweensaidbase or back portion land'the indicator oinpointerelement, and so as to be capable of being rotated upon said spindle element 7, whereby the exposed or, top calendar sheet may be adjusted 'to bring into registration with the openings 3, t and 5 of the indicator or pointer clement any desired panel of the sheet to register the calendar data contained therein with the indicator or pointer element. The calendar pad may be thus rotated by grasping the free projecting edges of the carrierdisc 2O to-manually impart the desired rotative movement thereto.

At the end of a month, when it. is desired to remove the sheet for such transpired month to disclose the sheet for the ensuing month, the user merely tears .the former through the lines ofperforationsl9 and 18 (in the manner indicated in Figure 4:), thus dividing the sheet through the center and severing the same from the fixed hub portion. 16, and thus exposing the sheet for said ensuing month.
In order'to provide an additional convenience in connection with the novel calendar, I secure to the base element or member G of the indicator element or pointer a face plate Qthaving inscribed thereon the numerals of a clock dial, and I pivotally cation, nor do 1 limit myself to the exact details of the construction of the same as illustrated in the accompanying drawings.

1. A calendar, comprising a back member, an indicator element having a rearwardly projecting spindle, element, means for securing said spindle element to said back member to hold said indicator element in fixed position, a circular calendar pad having aileaf for each month, each-leaf having radial panels to contain monthly calendar data, said leaves being inseparably secured together at their central portions to provide a central lu'ibportion in connection with the pad, said hub portion having a central opening for rotatahly mounting said pad upon said spindle intermediate said back member and said indicator element so that the panels of the exposed'leafmay be selectively registered with said indicator element. and the free portion of each leaf being separably connected by lines of perforations with the central hub portion of the calendar pad.

A calendar, comprising a back member, an indicator element having a rearwardly projecting spindle element, means for securing said spindle element to said back member to hold said indicatorelement in fixed position, a circular calendar pad having a leaf for each month, each leaf having radial panels to contain monthly calendar data, said leaves being inseparably secured together at their central portions to provide a central hub portion in connection with the pad, a carrier disc to Which the hub portion of said calendar pad is fixed, said carrier disc possessing a diameter larger than the width of said back member so that its marginal portions project outwardly be yond the sides of the latter, said calendar pad and its carrierdisc having a central opening for rotatably mounting the same upon said spindle intermediate said back member and said indicator element so that the panels of the exposed leaf may be selectively registered with the latter, the free portions of each leaf having a circular line of -perforations separably connecting the same with said central hub portion ofthe calendar pad, each leaf beingv further provided'with radial lines of perforations dividing the-same into separable sections, and a face plate'secured byits upperand lower ends to said back member to extend over said calendar pad, said face plate having a central opening to expose the exposedinscribed faces of thecalendar leaves.

A calendar, comprising a back member, a fixed indicator element having a rearwardly projecting spindle interconnecting the same with said back member, a circular calendar pad comprising a plurality of calendar leaves rotatably mountedonsaid spindle intermediate said back member and said indicator elementand thus movable to register selectively with said indi fitOl element desired data of the exposed leaf of said calendar pad, means rendering each calendar leaf separable from said calendar pad, said indicator elements being provided with a face plate inscribed with a clock dial, and manipulatable clock hands "centrally pivoted on said face plate to cooperate with said clock dial.

A calendar, comprising a back member, an indicator element having a rearwardly projecting spindle element, means for securing said spindle element to said back member to hold said indicator element in fixed position, a circular calendar pad having a leaf for each month, each leaf having radial panels to contain monthly calendar data,said leaves being inseparably secured together at their central portions to provide a central hub portion in connection with the pad, a carrier disc to which the hub portion of said calendar pad is fixed, said carrier disc possessing a diameter larger than the width of said back member so that its marginal portions project outwardly beyond the sides of the latter, said calendar pad and its carrier disc having a central opening for rotatably mounting the same upon said spindle intermediate said back member and said indicator element so that the panels of the exposed leaf may be selectively registered with the latter, the free portions of each leaf having a circular line of perforations separably connecting the same with said central hub portion of the calendar pad, each leaf being further provided with radial lines of perforations dividing the same into separable sections, said indicator elements being provided with a face plate inscribed with a clock dial, and manipulatable clock hands centrally pivoted on said face plate to cooperate with said clock dial.

A calendar. comprising a back member, an indicator element having a rearwardly projecting spindle element, means for securing said spindle element to said back member tOzllOld said. indicator element in fixed position, a circular pad having a leaf for each month, each leaf having radial panels to contain monthly calendar data, said leavesbeing' inseparabl y securedtogether attheir vcentral portions to provide a central hub portion; in connection with the pad, a carrier disc to-wliich the hub portion of said'calendar pad is fixed, said'carrierdisc possessing a diameter larger than the Width ofsaid back member so thatits marginal portions project outwardly beyond the-sides of'the latter, said calendar pad and its carrier disc having a central opening for rotatably mounting the same upon said spindle intermediate said back member and said indicator element so that the panelsof the exposed leaf may be selectively registered with the latter, the free portions of each leaf having a. circulauline of perforations separably connecting the same with said centralhub portion of the calendar pad, each leaf being further provided With radial lines of perforations dividing the same into separable sections, and face plate secured by its upper and lower ends to said back member to extend over said calendar pad, said face plate having a central opening to expose the exposed inscribed faces of the calendar leaves, said indicator elements being provided With a face plate inscribed With a clock dial, and manipulatable clock hands centrally pivoted on said face plate to, cooperate with said clock dial.
