This invention relatesl to certain new and useful improvements in caps particularly serviceable as a neat andcomfortable head covering for use in the cold season. l

The invention contemplates the provision of an improved cap, preferably of knitted material and so constructed asrto include normally inoperative members capable of being employed in various ways for obtaining the desiredwarmth for the back of the neck and the earsy of the wearer, which members may be readily placed in operative position as wellas relatively arrangediii different relations while maintaining a neat appearance.A

An objectof theinvention is to construct a cap of a minimum numberof parts of extremely simple form which may be readily assembled for producing a cap structure, and wherein the parts are n direction ol the wales such as is calculated to combine great durability and elasticity.

Other objects will appear as the nature of the invention is better understood and the same consists in the novel form, combination and arrangement oic parts hereinafter more full;7 described in connection vwith the accompanying drawings and in which like characters of reference indicate corresponding vparts throughout the vseveral views.
