By the use of two fine nozzles directed against opposite sides of the work we not only double the capacity of the machine. but lessen the work for the operator, for he does not need to hold the file against the single jet of steam.
It will be understood that numerous devices have been produced purporting to an elevated boX having sump forming inclned floors and a series of baffle plates around which steam must pass before being exhausted, in combination with a pair of converging injectorsfor carrying material from said sump and projecting same against two sides of a file at the same time, and an overflow pipe having its inlet turned upwardly and rearwardly away from the discharge ofthe injectors.

In a file sharpening machine, the combination of a box means, a pair of injectors which converge within said box, two bottoms sloping toward the middle of said box, cleats secured on the upper side of the farthermost slope in the form of an inverted V, a discharge stack near the forward end of the top of said box, a downward and rearwardly sloping baffle attached to the under side of the box ycover in front of said stack, a pendant apron in front of the upper end of said baffle, and a downwardly and forwardly sloping baffle behind said stack.
