In a shoe last, a heel section, a too section, means hingedly connecting said sections together, said means comprising a hinge member carried by said heel section, said hinge member being provided with an arm, a second hinge member carried by said toe section, the latter named hinge member comprising a pair of resilient plates between which said arm is adapted to operate, one oi said plates being provided with a locking element receiving pocket, and alocking element carried by said arm, said locking element being adapted to enter said pocket to retain the heel and toe sections in extended positions.

In a shoe last, a heel section, a toe section, means for hingedly connecting said sections together, said means comprising a resilient hinge 7 member having pockets formed therein, a second hinge member comprising an arm and a locking ball car ried by said arm, said locking ball being adapted to enter one of said pockets to retain said toe and heel sections in extended position and to enter the other of said pockets when said sections are collapsed, the resiliency oi said hinge member being depended upon to retain said locking ball within one of said pocket-s when said toe and heel sections are maintained in extended position.

In a shoe last, heel and toe sections, one of said sections being provided with a lug, the other of said sections being provided with a groove adapted to receive said lug, hinge members associated with said sections, one of said. members comprising a resilient plate having a pocket formed therein, the other of said hinge members comprising a locking element adapted to enter said pocket to retain said sections in extended position with respect to each oth r, and a centering pin passed through said lug and said hinge members at their point of pivotal connection. 7

In a shoe last, heel and toe sections, one of said sections being provided with a lug, the other or" said sections being provided with a groove adapted to receive said lug, hinge members associated with said sections and pivotally connected together, one of said members comprising a pair of resilient plates one of which is provided with a locking element receiving pocket, the other of said members comprising a locking element adapted to enter said pocket to retain said sections in extended position with respect to each other, and a centering pin passed through said lug and said hinge members at thei' point of pivotal connection with each other.

In a shoe last, heel and toe sections, one of said sections being provided with a lug, the other of said sections being provided with a groove adapted to receive said leg hinge members connecting said sections together, one of which is resilient and provided with looking element-receiving pock- .ets, the other or. said members comprising a locking element adapted to enter one of said pockets when said sections are extended, and further adapted to enter the other of said pockets when said sections are collapsed, the resiliency of said resilient hinge member being depended upon to retain said locking element within one of sad pockets when said sections are extended, and a centering and reinforcing pin passed through said lug and hinge members at their point of pivotal connection with each other.

In a shoe last, heel and toe sections, one of said sect-ions being provided with a lug, the other of said sections being provided with a groove adapted to receive said lug, hinge members associated with said sections, a tubular element pivotally connecting said hinge members to each other, and a pin passed through said lug and tubular element.
