Be it known that I, CATHERINE B. MACK, a citizen of the United States. residing at Los Angeles, in the county of Los Angeles and State of California,- have invented new and useful Improvements in Bed and Douche Pans, of which the following is-a specification.
This invention relates to bed and douche pans and has for its object to provide a pan that .Will not readily tip over and which is provided with an inclined bottom from the-top of the rearend forwardly. An object is to provide a draining bed pan.
Other objects will be made 'inaniiest in the following specification of an embodiment of the invention illustrated in the ac.- companying drawings, in Which- Figure 1 is a perspective of the pan and draining attachment. 7
Fig. 2 is a plan of the pan.
Fig. 3 is a longitudinal section.
Fig. 4 is a rear end elevation.
The pan has a surrounding flange or base 2 of substantiallyuniform height to provide a stable base. The rear end is semi circular and has an inwardly turned rim 3 of horseshoe form, the ends of-Which approach a drain wall 4.
The'pan has a bottom 5 inclining from the rear end down to the bottom of the front wall 4, and this has a drain nipple 6 leading from the pan. The nipple has a removable cap 7 so that a noneollapsible drain hose 8 may be applied to the nipple. The hose leads to a suitable receptacle 9.
The rim has an inlet opening 3.
Further embodiments, modifications and' changes may be resorted to within the spirit of the invention as here claimed.
lVhat is claimed is:
1. A douchehaving an upstanding wallforming flange with an inturned rim forming the seat part of the douche. and a. bottom inclining from the upper rear part of the flange down to the opposite end.
2. A douche having a horseshoe-shaped rim and a supporting flange along the perimeter thereof, said flange extending transversely between the spaced ends of the rim, and a bottom secured to the flange, said bottom inclining down from the upper part of the curved end of the flange to the bottom of the transverse part of the flange.
