The combination `.jvith a door, havin a locking mechanism, a face plate,4 rovi ed with a key hole, secured to the oor and a key applied to the locking mechanism through said key hole, of a locking device comprising a housing having expandable members extending therefrom for entering the said key hole to attach the device to the face plate, a barrel rotatably mounted in the housing and having a slot for receiving the end of the key wherebythe lat- Ater is retained against rotationwithin the barrel, and a key controlled means for actuating the expandable means to attach the device to, or release it from the plate and for lookinor the barrel against rotation.
