To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, PHILIP W. FREHAFER,
. a citizen of the United States, residing at Schuylkill Haven, in the county of Schuyl- 5 kill and State of Pennsylvania, have invented new and useful Improvements in Unbreakable Nursing Bottles, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to nursing bottles and the principal object is to produce a device of this nature which cannot be broken by the child. using the same.
Another object is to produce a device of this nature in which the nipple cannot be pulled off by the child.
Another object is to produce a device of this nature which should be simple of construction consisting of few parts, cheap to manufacture, and highly efficient for the purpose for which it is designed.
With these and other objects in view as will be presently more apparent, the invention consists in certain novel construction and combination and arrangement of parts, the essential features of which are hereinafter fully described, are particularly pointed out in the appended claims, and are illustrated in the accompanying drawing, in which:

Referring to the drawing in detail, 10 represents a metallic case or body into which a glass bottle or container 11 is fitted.
4 Seated in the member 10 is a pad member generally indicated by the reference numeral 12 and comprising a circular part 13, the outer portion of which is preferably rubber or other resilient material, and four or more radiating spring-like members 1 1 which are adapted to bear frictionally The upper end of the metallic container 10 is threaded at 15 so as to receive the threaded end 16 of a grip member 17 which is provided with a longitudinal aperture or way 18. The lowerend 'of the way 18 is threaded to receive the threads 19 of a metallic tube 20 which is adapted to be inserted in the way 18 and to project slightly beyond the end of the member 17. The tube 20 is provided with a longitudinal passage 21 so as to permit the free flow of the milk from the bottle 11, it being understood that when thegrip member 17 is screwed down it comes into tight contact with the top of the bottle so as to prevent leakage. If necessary, a gasket could be used at this point.
The nipple shown at 22 is not provided with the usual lower ribs or beads but is made quite tubular in shape.
In assembling thedevice, the ring 12 is placed in the bottom of the container 10 and then the bottle of milk 11 is placed on the ring 12. The nipple 22 is next placed on the end of'the tube 20 and the tube is then inserted in the aperture 18 which is slightly tapered towards the outlet. As the tube 20 is screwed to place, it securely locks the nipple between the end of the tube and the inside surface of the way through the grip member 17 The grip member is then adjusted on the member 10 and as before stated when screwed to place forms a liquid-tight seal with the bottle 11.
It will be seen that in this manner I have constructed a bottle which accomplishes all the fundamental objects primarily stated herein and is exceedingly simple and cheap to construct and hygienic and cleanly in nature.
While 1' have described what I deem to be the most desirable embodiment of my invention, I do not limit myself to the specific details of construction of material, nor to anything less than the whole of my invention as defined in the appended claims.
What I claim 1. In a device of the class described, the combination of a metallic container, an in ner fragile container, a perforate cap threadedly engaged with said metallic container adapted to have a liquid-tight contact with said fragile container, a tube removably secured in said cap and a nipple gripped between said tube and said cap.
