IMPROVEMENT IN BRACELET-FASTENINGS.
Speofi :ation forming part of Letters Patent No. 145,788, dated December 23, 1873; application iled November 1, 1873.
To all whom it may concer-n:
Be it known that I, SHUBAEL COTTLE, of the city, county, and State of New York, havc invented a new and useful Improvement in Bracelet-Catch, of which the following` is a .K specification:
Figure l is a perspective View of an open bracelet to which my improvement has been applied, and Fig. 2 is a detail section of the same.
The invent-ion will ir'st be fully described, and then pointed out in the claim.
A represents a bracelet which is made in two parts, hinged to each other at one end, and
' secured by an ordinary spring or locket catch,
B, which is secured to the end of one part, and shuts into the socket of the adjacent end of the other part. C is a small cap, of such a f size as to shut down over the knob of the catch B, and which is hinged to the center of the outer side of the end of the part of the bracelet A that contains the socket for the catch B. claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent- The combination of the catch B, having the knob, the hinged cap C, litting over said knob, and the -spring-pinthat locks the cap to the knob, all constructed substantially as described, and for the purpose set forth.
