To all whom it may concern e it known that I, FRANK CECIL ScHLrrzan,y a citizen of the United States, residing at Buffalo. in the county of Erie,
6 State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements yin Containers; and I do hereby declare lowing to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable lo others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
Iy invention is an improvement in containers for beaver hoard samples and in blanks for formingr said containers ,and the invention has` for ils object to provide a simple inexpensive device of the character specified, in the form of a strip of paper or the like, so creased that it ma)7 he folded about a sample of beaver board in two directions at right angles to each other thereby to completely enclose the sample, and to provide a tuck fold for receiving the ends of the strip to prevent disengagement of the said ends and to permit the ends to be V sealed to the tuck fold.

' In the present embodiment of the invention the improved container or enclosure is formed from a strip 1 of suitable material, as for instance, paper of suitable and this paper is creased on double lines,

Five folds are provided, a central fold and four lateral folds, and the central fold is creased on a line 3 which is diagonal to the fold, and to the strip.
In order to make use of the container or enclosure, the strip is folded on the line 3, the right end of tie strip being folded up- Ward and the line 3 is so directed that the upfolded end of the strip will be at right angles to the other end. 'hen this is done the two end folds will extend one to the left ofthe beaver board sample and one below. These two folds are now folded up diagonal fold which tuck for holding the said ends. That is the said ends are folded upwardlv upon the front of the beaver board sample and their corners are tuck as clearly shown in- Figs. hey may be secured in place if desired bv a seal indicated at 6. and the seal heir.; placed half on thle tuck fold and half on the topmost end of the strip.
The arrangement is such,r and the strip or blank is so creased, that by folding on she central diagonal creased line. the two ends of the strip Wil] extend at right angles to each other and may be folded about the sample board in directions at right angles to each other, thereby to completelv enclose t e sample and to provide a tuckfold for engaging the ends of the sample.

claim` 1. A wrapper for a body,v guiar faces, comprising a strip of matt-rial of a width corresponding to that of a face 0f the body and being creased intermediate its ends along a diagonal line arranged to place the ed al sufficient length to pass around the body in directions at right angles and to 'provide having rectanends to be tucked beneath the fold provided on one 'face of the body by the folding' of the strip ilonar said diagonal line.
An envelope for square enclosures, comprising a strip of a width corresponding approximately to that of the enclosure, and having intermediate its ends a diagonal crease line spaced at its center from one end of the strip a distance corresponding substantially to two and one-half times the width of the strip, whereby when the strip is folded on the crease line to cause the ends to lie at substantially a right angle, and the other end is folded about an enclosure, the fold at the crease line will form a tuck for engagement by the extremity of the first named end when it in turn is folded about the enclosure.
3. An enclosure for sample boards, comprising a strip creased transversely to form a central and four lateral folds of approximately the same area as the sample, the strip being creased diagonally of the central fold whereby when it is folded on said diagonally creased line the ends will extend at right angles to each other and may be folded about the sample and tucked beneath the tuck fold formed-bythe foldingr on the diagonal line.
4. An envelope comprising a strip creased intermediate its ends on a line extending at an angle of 450 to the axis of the strip` and spaced at its center from one end of the stripa distance coi-respondn r to two and one-half times the width of the strip, whereby when the strip is folded on the crease line, and the other end is wrapped about a square having a width substantially that of the strip. the first named end of the strip will fold over the square and the first named end at right angles to the direction ot' fold of theI said first named end and the extremity thereof will be received in the tuck formed by the first named fold.
5. An enclosure for board samples, comprising a strip of a width correspondingr to one dimension of the sample and creased on transverse lines at intervals corresponding approximately to the other dimension of the sample. to form a ccnlral and two lateral folds at each side of the central fold, the strip being,r creased diagonally of thc central fold whereby when the strip is folded on the diagonal line and then over upon the adjacent lateral l'old a tuck fold will be formed for the ends of the strip.
(3. A blank for containers for sample boards5 comprising a strip creased transversely at regular intervals to form live approximately equal folds, the strip beiner creased diagonally to the central fold, the width of the strip corresponding approximately to one dimension of the sample and the first named creased lines being separated by intervals ciirresptnulinl;y approximatel)r to the other width oli' the sample.

An envelope comprisingr a strip having transverse crease lines spaced apart from one end of the strip and from each other a distance equal to the width of the strip, to provide live or more similar folds, and having a crease line extending diagonally of the third fold from one end, whereby when the strip is folded on the crease line to cause the ends to lie at substantially a right angle, and the other end is folded about an enclosure, the fold at the crease line will forni a tuck for engagement by the extremity of the first named end when it in turn is folded about the enclosure.
8. A wrapper for a body having rectangular faces comprising` a strip of material creased intermediate its ends along a diagonal line to enable said strip to be folded readily to place the portions of said strip opposite the fold at right angles to each other; said portions beine,r of a length respectively to wrap entirely around the body in the respective directions in which they extend when thc part of said strip having the fold is placed on one face ol said body with the fold running.;r diagonally of the face and the portions extendinfr at right angles to adjacent edges of said fiice,-said folded portion beingV then arranged to `permit: the ends of the respective portions to be tucked beneath it.
