The object of my invention is to provide a novel gas and air mixer for use on gas stoves or other as burning appliances A further ob ect of my invention is to provide an improved gas and air mixer constructed to supply to the gas an extra amount of air to those devices 'now known in the art. f v

Another object of my invention is to provide an improved gas and air mixer having certain novel features of construction which and highly efiicient in will .be hereinafter -more specifically set forth in the following description and ac companying drawings:

The drawings disclose a form in which my structed although it wilhbe understood that I do not limit myself to the particular configuration of the several parts of my device. The operation of my device is as follows: Gas is turned on from the supply conduit 15 through the gas cock or valve 12 by means of its operating handle '13 and isd scharged through the opening 10 of the charged gas in its course draws in air register with the mixing chamber openings hand this air co-mingles with thegas. If,- however, the .gas is rich,in carb'on it does not draw a sufficient amount ofair to support proper combustion and in order to furnish a larger supply, of air the gas mixture in the mixing tube 2 is discharged through the larger jet 16 into the mixing tube 1. -On its course into the mixing tube 1 the through the regulator openings 5 which Y gas draws in additional air through the openings 18 of a sufficient amount to properly support combustion at the pointof delivery of the mixin tube to a gas burner.
It will be readi y understood that the guard 20 is to guide th e currents of air admitted through its open end 19' and to pro- I tect the current'of airs from outer influences.
